Enjoy an elevated dining experience at Adega, a modern showcase of fresh Mediterranean-inspired cuisine made with the finest local and international ingredients. To complete this truly unparalleled experience, the restaurant's centerpiece is a stunning gl
Adega has had its ups and downs over the last almost 5 years, having hired and lost almost as many executive chefs (the last 3 leaving because management who know nothing about food were dictating to the chefs!). The last exec chef Chef Ilker had the highest quality (eating his fish cones appetizer - emulating Thomas Keller at the French Laundry - and his Fluke crudo told me that Ilker could have lifted Adega to true fine dining) and he actually taught the sous chef staff the fundamentals (apparently, no one bothered to teach them before) and which they are now utilizing, though sans exec chef. Chef Omar was in house this July 3 evening, and turned out the octopus flatbread and kafta tart which were excellent (and consistently so). Of course, the old fav polenta cubes remain outstanding (and unique among all restaurants in Ohio and perhaps beyond). We paired the meal with Dom de Solitude Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Then Kat created a berry tart -- precisely what we needed to finish the meal.Kudos to Kat and Jay, for consistently high end service of warmth and hospitable efficiency.Thank-you.

Joe's is known for its large portions and its almost endless menu choices. You may have to wait for a table but, no matter how hungry you are, you'll probably leave with leftovers. I've never tried the desserts but they look fabulous. Joe's also does a BIG take-out business

You won't see the Parthenon or the Agora but the atmosphere is teeming with all that is delectable about Greek cuisine. And, clearly, the word has been communicated because everyone seems to know about Astoria and have been there too (not Astoria Queens but could easily be translated there). This was my second time only, first for brunch on a Sunday, the only meal served, and then for dinner the other night. The folks who run this place have a good feeling for what makes diners happy and dispense it in spades.

If you never tried Lebanese food, this is the best place to do so. They have a good selection on the menu and the prices are affordable to try different plates.
