Please note that we do not take bookings.
We were visiting Keswick for the day and decided to try the food here. The weather was rather wet, so we were glad to go somewhere cosy and inviting. The food was amazing, we tried the pizza and tapas menus. All the food was cooked well and really tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful too. We were impressed that the chef cooked all the food in a small area behind the bar and we didn't have to wait long for it to arrive either. There was a bookshelf that had stories and colouring books/stickers to keep our three year old entertained too. Overall, a fantastic dinner and we hope to be back again soon. Thanks again. Thanks Jonny for such a nice review :) Weâre so glad you found cozy comfort in our small cafe bar.....It even amazes me sometimes what they do in that kitchen (if you can call it that ) They really do send out some stunning dishes! & itâs just what you need on a wet & windy day in the lakes.....beer, board games & good food! Really hope youâll be visiting us again soon :) Many thanks,Genna

A quirky little place where customer service, good homemade wholesome and unpretentious food is at the forefront of the agenda. We make it our business to offer you the best we can at all times.
I decided to try Wild Zucchinis on a short trip to Cockermouth and think it's the most reasonably priced, friendliest place to eat in the town. £ 7.25 for an omelette with potatoes and three salad choices is amazing value in a place that can be expensive to eat out. Also my latte at £ 2.40 was reasonably priced. Both meal and coffee were of a high standard and the waitress and cook, who advises you on your salad choices, were very friendly. The good news doesn't stop there, though. Wild Zucchinis has a fantastic ambience with jazz playing at a discreet volume and is spotless inside. Also you have a copy of i on the table( tabloid version of The Independent), which is something interesting to read while you're waiting. Another reason to visit the restaurant is Poets Night once a month, and local community groups hold meetings at Wild Zucchins. Dogs are welcome, too.If you are driving, there is the Sainsburys car park over the road, where parking costs £ 2.60 for two hours, and there are regular buses to Workington.Awwwww thank you Glenn! Thank you for taking the time to write us such a wonderful review. We go out our way to welcome everyone in the best way we can and offering quality food is at the top of our priority alongside cleanliness and good service . Glad we hit the mark! Manon x

We normally eat @ this restaurant when we visit Keswick but probably won't bother again after this visit. Had a table for 2 booked only for a couple to walk in off the street & be seated before us. Then we were put on a table in the middle of the room with hardly any room with all the waiters buzzing around. A waiter serving an Irish coffee on the table next to us, promptly spilt it all over the poor woman. Queue chaos as he attempted to clean up said drink whilst banging into my wife who was trying to eat her food. As far as i could tell, no apology was offered to the woman & definitely not to my wife. The owner was present & he didn't come over to offer apologies either. Terrible customer service. I feel all this was brought about by cramming an extra 3 tables in the middle of the room, thus making the restaurant way too cramped. Doubt we'll go back again. Food was nice though.

If you like authentic 'family' Italian food prepared and cooked to a high standard in a small atmospheric restaurant then you will love Fermento. The 'taster menu' is superb and we asked Carla to choose a different wine for each course for us. I think she was pleased to be asked and chose superbly well. Book well in advance to avoid disappointment.Thank you so much for your kind review! We were very pleased you trusted us pairing the wine with every course, (and even more knowing you liked our choice!).Hope to see you soon again,
