This is a very small restaurant with excellent food and service. We were extremely satisfied with everything we had and the service. Only four tables but wonderful food, magnificent service, and very reasonable prices. A leader of house wine was only seven euros and the meals were also very reasonably price. We had lamb chops and trout. We had an appetizer of salmon sashimi and asparagus with a cheese mousse. Everything was prepared and seasoned wonderfully and the people could not be more friendly. I would highly recommend this to be on your list if youâre in the area. The small size indicates reservation to avoid disappointment.

Elisa has made a very challenging menu with just enough choices. All dishes are made with local ingredients and presented in a very appealing way. Just open since 2 months but for sure she has the keys to success. The location is beautiful, but also the inside is very cosy with paintinga of her Italian grandfather. Italian food presented âa-la-NEW-York, but still Italian prices.

We found this restaurant whilst wandering around Barga in the evening. We are not fans of fish but the shortish but interesting menu caters for all tastes. The service was excellent, good English spoken which made it easier to ask about the dishes, and saved me breaking into poor Italian! Very enjoyable evening. Busy restaurant mostly outside in a piazza. Plenty of locals eating which is a good sign imho.

My wife and I came to know Ristorante Eliseo by reading the great reviews on Trip Advisor. We decided to give it a try and found the reviews were spot on! The food was well presented and delicious. The family that runs this local establishment is very friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. We highly recommend Eliseo and look forward to returning!Thank you so much for your kind words. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. We look forward to working with you again in the future!

Caffe Capretz is in the centre of the beautiful mediaeval town of Barga. The small balcony accommodates a dozen diners and provides a spectacular setting for lunch or dinner. There is an interesting menu of local and international dishes. Service is efficient and friendly and the chef, Laura, is accomplished. We had two generous antipasti and 2 main courses for less than â¬50 including wine.

Wonderful, wonderful food. Great service and just a fantastic evening. The best filet I've ever had in my life is US $15. House wine is fantastic, and the owner's daughter waits on you. My only wish is that we didn't find this place on our last night in town, because we would have eaten here every night! If you're staying at the Renaissance hotel, come here for your meals. It's so much more authentic, and half the price. Note: we also saw the opening time of 5:00pm that the prior commenter mentioned. This is a Google error though. The restaurant never mentions this anywhere. They may want to contact Google to get it corrected, but it's certainly not there fault :) The restaurant opens at 7:30 like every other one in town.

Been here a few times and never disappointed. Absolutely outstanding quality food and local produce. It does seem to get a few tables bigger every year but no wonder, everyone wants to eat here!Particular favourite is the sausage with beans...this is just fantastic. Great wine list and friendly, smiling staff.

We had a table outside and the place was full of life with music in all the piazzas. Strongly recommended.

Ate here on Sunday with friends. All four of us like different things, so we gave the menu a bit of a working over. Everything was great, and the service was relaxed, friendly and efficient. Didnât break the bank either!
