Reviews on Mediterranean food in Bardolino, Province of Verona, Italy. You’ll find vineyards and olive groves in Bardolino, as well as beaches on beautiful Lake Garda. This town isn’t as popular as other area resort towns, so you shouldn’t find huge crowds here (except perhaps during the local olive oil and wine festival in late September and October). If you’re traveling with kids, make a beeline for the Gardaland and Aqua Paradise amusement parks.

Only in Bardolino for a few hours, we picked this restaurant for lunch after looking at the Tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed - great food, good service, and we shared an excellent bottle of Bardolino - have drunk it for probably 30 years- I've been missing out. Agree with most of the recent reviews - well worth eating here.

There were only a few tables occupied on the evening we were there so the atmosphere was very hushed. We shared a salad to start which was ok. Our mains of sea bass with rosemary potatoes were excellent and reasonably priced at 15 Euro each with the side extra. The wine took our bill a fair bit higher than others and there was no digestif at the end but some do and some donât. All in all it was a nice meal but not somewhere weâd go to twice

We ate here 2 year ago and was impressed with the excellent service and food. This time we visited for lunch and was disappointed with the service and attitude of the waiters. The restaurant was fairly quiet for 3pm but we had to wait ages to be served after we were seated. When we were finally waited on we provided the drinks and food order at the same time, It was assumed the small beer was for the male, we had virtually finished our drinks by the time the food arrived. The waiter asked if I wanted a spoon for the spaghetti as an after thought, the spoon should have been on the table. It was a long time for the plates to be cleared so we asked for the bill, which was paid in cash, we decided not to leave a tip as the service didnât deserve a tip ...... so we do get so annoyed when the waiters assume we donât want our change On the flip side, hats off to the chefs.... the food was excellent, we just got grumpy waiters on a rainy day,

Enjoyed it so much we went twice for evening meals during our holiday. During these two evenings we had two great pizzas, a calzone and spinach Gnocchi with Gorgonzola. Also a lovely side salad on both occasions. The desserts were also amazing with semi Freddo on both occasions a tiramisu and a choc truffle. The semi-freddo amaretto was the best. Service was brilliant they were there when you needed them but not too much and were very friendly and helpful. The free limoncello at the end of the meal was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend- and do book as it does get busy even in the week. It doesnât look like much from the outside but you donât even notice that once you are in.

THE RESTAURANT WILL STAY CLOSED UNTIL 08/03/2019. Restaurant La Cantinetta (The little Cellar) takes its name from the former destination of the kindness rooms where it is located in the historic center of Bardolino, famous and characteristic town of Vero
I can only say, order one of the Cozze dishes and drink Lugana: you sit outside and are impeccably attended... all best, then a thunderstorm comes up from the shore and you continue inside, drinking next Lugana and another one, until rains vanish...The venue is a must when you visit Bardolino.

La Veranda del Color, the restaurant of the Color Hotel, awarded with 1 star from the Michelin Guide, Italian cuisine served in a creative manner, with traditional dishes....but innovative, a well stocked Cellar with Italian Wines, organization of persona
Was staying at the hotel and ate here twice. We did the meat taster one time which was nice and then the a la Carte which again was nice. But neither were mind blowing. If you want to drink wine by the glass the choice is minimal. The decor does not feel right for Michelin starred but that might be in part because it was where we had breakfast. The service was ok but variable. Some waiters explained the course, others did not. It only does dinner.Dear BirminghamNetty, thank you for sharing your experience and your impressions about La Veranda del Color. As you can see from other reviews, there are guests which are enthustiastic of the ambience, but of course it also a matter of personal taste. For sure, the atmosphere in the evening is quite different from the morning, it's more intimate and romantic. Thanks and best regars.

We followed the TripAdvisorâs recommendation but were disappointed. No option for vegetarians, the bread was stale, plates too hot, potatoes with the beef completely cold, grilled veggies overdried...we had an impression that the meals were not freshly made but just warmed up. Sorry for this but there are many more better places in Bardolino! But the environment is really nice, canât say anything else:-(
