Sabor, tradición e innovación. En Taberna El Patio podrás descubrir un lugar muy especial donde disfrutar de la mejor gastronomÃa aragonesa.
Studied all reviews for restaurants in Barbastro and decided, it being a lovely day, to walk to the Top 11 to check out the menus ... en route we saw this new and unreviewed restaurant. The menu looked good and appealed to both a huge meat eater and one who prefers lighter fare. Started with a few tapas which were delicious and original then huevo rotos with jamón (fried eggs with yolks that break and run over Chips) which were delicious with hot and crispy fries followed by a chuleton (t-bone steak). Meanwhile lighter eater had a fresh salad with sweetbreads and cured duck with smashed fresh raspberries which was a delight. Super service and packed out which we saw as great sign for new restaurant. Price really good too. Worth a tiny walk over river. A delightful find which clearly has already found a clientele in Barbastro ... looked like the locals go.

Barbastro is a small city in the Somontano (a wine region in northern Spain). There are many restaurants, but El Portillo is probably one of the best there. There is a menu for 20â¬,you can eat 3 dishes plus starters and deserts and Somontano's wine included. With a high quality food. It is really recommendable. If you go by the region, this restaurant is a must Stop!!

Restaurante with wonderful views. It serves traditional food with a modern twist, using products of high quality if possible local seasonal products like Barbastro's pink tomato, local cured meats, vegetables, local farms'meat etc. The Restaurant has diff
We had lunch here mid week; September. Fantastic - one of the best winery restaurants we've been to. The only serious choice is the degustacion menu - â¬30 all-in for an appetiser then five courses, unlimited wine, coffee and water. Based on local peasant / traditional dishes and modernised but not losing the essential simple but great tasting ingredients. Service discreet and prompt - maybe almost too - but it was a very slow day and the staff were attentive.

A bit outside the city center we found this very good restaurant. We went to early for dinner, the cook wasn't in the house burbthey called the cook to come as soon as possible. According to my son, he enjoyed one of the best entrecotes he ever had. Not only good taste but also good looks of the food.

No volverÃa.

After having tried several restaurants in Barbastro, we have gone back to El Placér several time. Almost every time we visit we go there. The food is simply great. Choose something from the area. Meaning the meat will be better than the fish, especially the lamb is good from the part of Spain.Price is pretty standard for the region. With wine, dessert and coffe â¬30-â¬40 per person. The decorations are nice and the service efficient. The place can be a bit hard to find and there is not much of a view and no out door serving.

We stayed at the hotel where the restaurant is located and were surprised they had a 3course menu that includes water and even half a bottle of wine for 19,90⬠per person. So we went there and were even more delighted by the quality of the food. The roasted pulpo we had as a starter was really good and would have cost by itself almost as much in any German restaurant as the whole menu cost here. Apart from the quality of the food the portions were OK and a selection of 4 starters, 4 main courses and 5 deserts is definitely enough for most guests.

We were referred to this restaurant by another local businessman (check out this organic olive oil processing plant - http://www.aceitedelsomontano.org/en/almazaras_ecostean.php) and enjoyed a shoulder of lamb & cod like we've never had before. The fresh mushrooms in season were prepared in 3 ways and the owner/hostess was very accommodating. Don't miss this one!
