Reviews on Mediterranean food in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Since the redevelopment of the Inner Harbor in the late 1970s, Baltimore has set the standard for urban renewal. While a good part of the city's action centers around the fun and festive Harbor area, where street entertainers, open-air concerts, fireworks and parades abound, the surrounding neighborhoods offer all sorts of interesting landmarks, unique shops and delicious restaurants. Wander around Fells Point, the oldest section of Baltimore, reminiscent of an old English village, complete with pubs and cobblestone streets. Take the kids to the aquarium and check out the imaginative creations at the American Visionary Art Museum. Or stop by the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum for an in-depth look at the Great Bambino's life. Baltimore is also renowned for its African-American heritage sites, plus festivals and cultural events that take place throughout the year. From historic places and harbor cruises to family friendly attractions and fabulous neighborhoods, Charm City is one of the top tourist destinations in the United States.

The Lebanese Taverna Baltimore restaurant is located in Harbor East, an exciting urban development in walking distance from the Inner Harbor, Baltimore Aquarium, and Fells Point. The beautiful interior features tall windows that look out on the water and
What a disappointment! Rainy Friday evening, so we decided to Grubhub-it. Lebanese food is usually reliably awesome. So, we ordered the falafel and the Baba Ghanoush. So far so good. But not only was the order a half hour late, but the food was cold and frankly not very good. We wonât make that mistake again!

Another fantastic evening at Cypriana. Delicious, Mediterranean cuisine, expertly crafted by Chef Maria. You cannot leave this place without experiencing the Mediterranean salad appetizer, which is a creative a delightful combination of individually plated Mediterranean salads served with light and fluffy pita, seasoned to perfection. Another dish not to be missed is the falafel ball appetizer, which is comprised of 5 large falafel, which are fried, but don't let that prevent you from experiencing this amazing dish. The falafel will literally melt in your mouth and you will fantasize about it after you leave. The portobello mushroom and lamb chop entrees are cooked to perfection. The stuffed grape leaves (with a beef and lamb mixture) are absolutely delicious, and the Moussaka is the best we have ever tasted. Chef Maria makes everything delicious, but not to be missed are the most amazing fries, served with a delicious aoili instead of ketchup, but itâs pure perfection. Every dish is more amazing than the next, with each entry spectacularly good, and the service is impeccable. Go with a larger group and order many dishes to share so you have the opportunity to taste it all. And don't leave without ordering the pistachio witsea salt baklava. Simply exquisite. Baltimore is lucky to have such a great, authentic Mediterranean restaurant in our midst.

My buddies and I had lunch here yesterday. Wow. We started with a table full of dips and warm pitas that were fantastic. I especially liked the cauliflower and brussell sprouts. The lamb meatballs could not have been better. I highly recommend this Mediterranean restaurant.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Ouzo Bay last night. Our server was attentive and helpful. We started with the date and goat cheese dip and spanakopita. Both were delicious and perfect appetizers. I had the special heirloom tomatoes salad (tasty but a little soggy) and grilled octopus (amazing) Octopus can be a tricky item to prepare, but the chef nailed it. My husband had the sea bass. It was delicately seasoned and cooked to perfection. We would love to return on our next trip to Baltimore.

We received such a warm welcome from Mouhcine, the owner of Twist. It was so nice to return for another great meal at Twist. The restaurant has two dining rooms. In the front, it is modern and upbeat with a great vibe. In the back, there is a beautifully decorated quiet and peaceful dining room. We really like the back dining room. We especially like that you can BYOB. There is a $5.00 per bottle corkage fee. Tonight, we enjoyed a Mediterranean lamb burger with feta cheese, red onions, roasted tomatoes, and harissa cucumber yogurt sauce, roasted Atlantic salmon topped with a lemon, beurre blanc & dill sauce; served with double order of seasonal vegetable, and a Pratt Street New York strip rubbed with garlic and topped with melted cheese and sautéed onions on a baguette. We were all delighted with our choices. We decided to end our delicious meals with something sweet, so we all had Dark Chocolate Gelato â so creamy and topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries. Thank you for a lovely, quiet evening.Maggi,Thank you for the marvelous feedback. We are thrilled to hear that you love your dining experiences with us at Twist so much. We're glad to hear our team always provides you with outstanding service and are so kind and friendly. We're happy you find your meals wonderful and you loved our Mediterranean lamb burger and Pratt Street New York strip so much. We appreciate the kind review and lovely recommendations. We look forward to seeing you next time. Have a lovely week!

On one of my last nights in Baltimore--a windy, cold, blustery night, I wandered down the street from my hotel to pick up the take-out fare I had ordered from my hotel room. The service was impeccable, even for a take-out patron! The bartender offered a nice beverage while I waited, which wasn't long, and the food, when it came, was hot and plentiful. I had ordered a variety of dishes, covered my face as I trudged back to my hotel, and enjoyed a sumptuous feast of delightful, well prepared Turkish dishes, including doner kebab with kadayifi for dessert. Yum!

I donât know how I could miss this place....itâs been open since 1977! Small unpretentious place with friendly and good service. The best thing is that this is a BYOB restaurant....a rarity in Maryland. Good traditional Greek restaurant with all of the usual suspects. Excellent Greek Salad, olives and a decent taramasalata. Wife had lamb and I had fish. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. Wish I had found this gem sooner. Will be back.
