If you're looking for authentic Spanish tapas, rather than tourist fare, then this is the place. After reading good reviews on TripAdvisor, found this understated little restaurant tucked away up a quiet walkthrough. Friendly English speaking staff, warm welcome. Interesting menu, fresh, home cooked food, reasonably priced. Busy & popular so booking recommended to avoid disappointment. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

We were looking for a good tapas place during the day and alot of places were closed. We found this place by chance as its a little out of street view but the food was excellent. Great choice's for a mid day snack, the tapa's menu was very big and everythig we tried was beautiful. Main menu looks good aswel, I would definitely like to give that a go. Already reccommended it to people and will definitely be back.

We very rarely go to somewhere more than once, but the team running the Lilac Tree and the food impressed us so much, we went back the following evening. On our first encounter, we tried the mackerel pate and the fried goats cheese for starters, followed by the pork belly and the thai green curry - delicious! We asked for wine to go with our meals and they were excellent! Happy and helpful attitude from everyone, including the Chef who brought out our mains - it's nice to thank someone who has passion for their skill and ability to create beautifully presented and tasty food! I can recommend the fudge brownie dessert! Walking away from the Lilac Tree just after midnight, we decided to come back again the next evening. We were not disappointed and the food was fantastic again! Really enjoyed the sweet chilli prawn linguine and the fried halloumi. Ideal street location for a summer evening, with a view of pretty spanish townhouses while nursing an amaretto! Thank you all at The Lilac Tree and every success for your business!

Our usual visit to Lime and Lemon when in Benalmadena and good to say it's high standards and excellent food have not changed. They provide a unique range of tapas dished that are not to be found elsewhere, well worth the effort of booking a table to enjoy great food and great service. Special mention to the tuna tartare.

We had the most amazing meal at this restaurant. The waiter was very unassuming and the food was fantastic. The beef, lamb and chicken were to die for. Not to mention the seared tuna. The vino blanco was also really good. We had seven dishes and a bottle of wine for 37 euros. Fantastic value. It was so good we came back again for the last night of our holiday. What can I say a restaurant you canât miss!!!!

After having a fair few mediocre meals whilst on holiday, this place was highly recommended. We ordered a garlic bread to share to start, a BBQ pizza, spaghetti carbonara, mango pana cotta to share. For drinks we had 2 strawberry daiquiri and a large beer. The bill was â¬43. For the quality of the food, I donât think this was bad at all. The carbonara was the best one I have ever had and the pana cotta was incredible! Portions were large and the service amazing.I note other restaurants nearby have menus of the day which are super cheap (I think around 12 euro for 4 courses) but I donât think the service nor the food would be as good.

Very spanish and traditional. Lots of bullfighting memorabilia about the place. Mix of locals and Spanish/ international tourists. Grilled meets were top quality. Great fish and seafood too. Excellent service.

Excellent little find, Moroccan and Spanish food. Tapas or raciones or a proper sit down dining room with a different menu. We opted for tapas which was included with the drinks and a couple of media raciones. Warning, the media raciones are still big, I had the chicken wings and chicken curry, both of which came with rice. Great service, lovely food and a bar tender proud that the Cerveza Reserva was stronger and nicer than Stella. He was right.

It took 3 attempts to get a table at this restaurant. So , was it up to all the hype ? Frankly, no! Its bbq steak and chips ! The theatre is that bbq in the restaurant front window. Service was mixed. Atmosphere bordered on the chaotic. Good quality steak. Pleased to have tried this place but would not rush back. Plenty of other places in town serve top quality bbq steak in a more relaxed atmosphere.
