Should you fine yourself a visitor in this small Rioja town, Sopitas is definitely the best place in town for a great meal and the perfect wine to go with it. The restaurant has the feel of a wine cellar and it's wine that is the star of the show here. Spanish and regional cooking is excellent, but the regional wines are even better. We were there for a business party (about 40 people) and our Spanish hosts knew what to order. The principal red wine that accompanied our many coursed meal was a 2005 Marques de Murietta. Happily, this is a vintage that is exported to the U.S. and rather widely available. This was a memorable meal, largely because of the company, but the food, wine and service at Sopitas was impeccable.muchisimas gracias por su critica esperamos volver a verle pronto...

We spent a few days in Arnedo while touring Northern Spain. This is Rioja with a down to earth soul. A warm welcome was received at Restaurant Picabea; bold decor promoted a Spain of the present and future, not of the past. But the food was traditional, and it was good to see popularity with locals as this is not a tourist trap. The set three-course menu (â¬22) was good value and included a bottle of wine. Favourites included jamon iberico, pan-fried langoustines and seafood parcels as starters, followed by veal cheek cooked slowly in local wine and hake with vegetables. Both the veal and the hake were cooked to perfection. For dessert we chose flan and a local frangipani pastry. The service was excellent and the patron was very patient with our poor Spanish!muchas gracias por elegir este restaurante familiar.por el tiempo dedicado a valorar nuestro restaurante.le aseguramos que seguiremos haciendo las cosascon el mismo cariño y dedicaciónpara estar ala altura de nuestros clientesgracias

The restaurant styles itself as a gastropub and it largely delivers on that promise. The food is a step up from standard pub food, while the decor is modern in an IKEA sense. The service can be a little slow but is friendly. Outdoor seating is available which is on the sidewalk along the Main Street, while parking is available streetwise. The restaurant is in the IBIS hotel and the experience is what one would expect from and IBIS hotel.
