Arcos de la Frontera (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈarkoz ðe la fɾonˈteɾa]) is a town and municipality in the Sierra de Cádiz comarca, province of Cádiz, in Andalusia, Spain. It is located on the Northern, Western and Southern banks of the Guadalete river, which flows around three sides of the city under towering vertical cliffs, to Jerez and on to the Bay of Cádiz. Love this place. Authentic Spanish restaurant, great choice of food and lovely friendly staff! Quite a few in and phoned to confirm they could get us in. A few drinks then sea food paella. Absolute quality. Back ground music from guitarist / vocalist and a birthday party going on! Lovely traditional Spanish atmosphere.

It was our first time in this resturant, as most of the others were closed, and we really enjoyed the food. We ordered 3 Tapas's between the 2 of us and it filled us up,with drinks the price was very reasonable at E21. My girlfriend really liked the pork with goats cheese.

My daughter & I stopped in for a light dinner but weâre having trouble enjoying most of the Spanish food. Our patient waiter brought us a combination plate of ibérico ham, pork and friend potatoes which was excellent! The only negative was it took awhile to get refills and our bill. Dear BonnieNimmo,Thank you very much for your visit to our bar and we appreciate your comment. Team Bar La Carcel

Very welcoming hosts with a great sense of humour - laughing and joking from the time we walked in.Behind the jokes, though, are some really good operators, as our meal went without a hitch. We started with a couple of small plates (most of their menu can be ordered in either half or full size) of fried squid and spinach and pine nut croquettes. While we were waiting, we had a dry sherry. Noticing my wife was taking a while over hers, our host suggested that a splash of sweet sherry in the dry might soften it. She liked that so much she had another later.Meanwhile the squid and the croquettes had gone down wonderfully. Very tender squid and croquettes crisp on the outside, but still soft and moist on the inside.Next up was a plate of assorted smoked fish - salmon, cod and anchovy. All were superb.A nice glass or two of red.Great value - should be on the list if you're in this town

Andalusi Restaurant, placed in a restored, XIII century house, in the old town of Arcos. Rounded arches, horseshoe arches, a former aljibe ( rain water well) and many more to be discovered by our costumers, amongside a variety of dishes that will transpor
We arrived in Arcos mid-afternoon on a Sunday on a holiday weekend when most places were closed. We had a late lunch at this restaurant and were very happy with our choices. We had a a vegetarian and 2 vegans in our group and all 4 of us loved the food. The servers were extremely polite and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We visited with our family of 4 during our summer break. We were welcomed by the host and had a very pleasant stay. The waiter did not speak English and also the menu was only in Spanish, so we had to improvize a bit but thanks to online translation we got somewhere. But it would be nice to have an English menu available as well.Food was very nice, with nice amuses and sides and a sort of complimentary ice cream/dessert afterwards. If you are around in Arcos and are considering a nice dinner, don't bypass this spot!Muchas gracias por su visita y comentario en TripAdvisor. Comunicarles que ya disponemos de la carta bilingüe. Exquisite food prepared by our chef , with fresh seasonal products, very good quality at a good price. In the whole historical monumental center, opposite the Basilica Minor and Major Parish of Santa MarÃa de la Asunción de Arcos de la Frontera.
Worth the effort to get here, either by walking the cobblestoned old town or navigating the narrow streets by car. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Wide variety of tapas and 1/2 and full portion dishes. 6 half portions were enough for our group of four. We especially enjoyed the oxtail, solomillo steak, grilled prawns and chicken croquettes. Our server, Fernando, really added to the dinner. He was not only very helpful but had actress sense of humor. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.
