We came across the Gatsby by accident as we were tired of driving to Barcelona from Cuenca and just happened to see Amposta as one of the towns on the map. There's free parking outside other restaurants nearby, its worth another 2 minutes walk to the side street. Don't be put off by the black and silver decor, the food here is excellent and very good price for the quality they served. If you a steak lover this restaurant served the best fresh steak I have tasted during this holiday. The local mussels makes an excellent starter and their fish are fresh and cooked to perfection.

This restaurant is attached to our campsite (Eucaliptus Camping) so we were’t expecting a lot, based on other camping experiences. However, the La Mar del Delta is a proper restaurant in its own right. Despite the plastic chairs and children’s playground attached to the property, they serve really proper and well-cooked Catalan food. I was delighted by the whole meal, the starters of parillada of perfectly grilled vegetables with alli-oli and bacalao and tomato salad. We shared a fantastic fideuada negra, Catalan vermicelli seafood coloured black with squid ink. The puddings, sheep’s yogurt and local honey and a cinnamony, lemony crema Catalana were equally authentic. If you find yourself in this remote location, give this restaurant a try - you won’t be disappointed!

Working as a volunteer at the nearby Riet Vell Reserva, We would regularly visit this resturant after work, The food is brilliant. Paella's, Tapas and my favourite the platos combinados. The best is with sepia. Well priced with a good selection to choose from, Very close to the beach and camping site, Perfect place to eat if in the local area

After failing to find any open, reasonably authentic Spanish restaurants within easy walking-distance of our hotel (at 21:30), we settled for this "Trattoria". It looked attractive from outside, and indeed it was pleasant inside. We were looking for a fairly light but satisfying meal. My partner ordered Lasagna, I wanted a simple pasta dish. We both ended up with 'cardboard' pizzas. The Lasagna was bright yellow and tasted disgusting.....my pasta was not what I ordered. I accept that mistakes can occur when ordering and will normally be happy to accept the 'alternative', but there were no mistakes here. However, in fairness, both dishes were taken away after tasting and the menu reappeared. We decided to take the easy option and ordered the pizzas. They were not good.....The only reasons I didn't mark this as 'terrible' was because the staff really tried to do their best and also the wine was good. Unfortunately, good wine and pleasant staff do not make up for bloody awful food.

Camping and restaurant located in the Delta de l'Ebre, next to The Tancada lagoon. Enjoy our homemade food, a wide variety of rice and our innovative cusine.
This restaurant has always had a wide variety of dishes, typical for the region. It has recently adapted its evening menu, and the owner's son, Xavi (who has worked in renowned restaurants in Paris) now offers fine dining in the evening. And fine dining it is! We tried different starters, main dishes and desserts which were all to die for. We highly recommend you to try them as well!
What to do and see in Amposta, Spain: The Best Places and Tips

This restaurant was packed on May 1st with Spaniards coming down to the Delta for lunch - we were lucky to arrive early (at 2.15!) and so got a table. Mostly, it appears, you have to reserve a place and it is worth it. The food is good - rice dishes of every sort and local duck which melts on the mouth. Try the Catalan Salad, too. It would make a meal on its own. We had a bottle of Albarino, which was excellent. The service was friendly and, if anything, a bit too quick, although we were in the restaurant for nearly two hours! The "but" was the size and cost of the post-prandial brandy. In a country where measures are generous, I was given a measure smaller than a single in an English bar at the cost of half a bottle in the shops. Such greed literally leaves a nasty taste in the mouth and costs this restaurant two stars. If you visit, stick to wine and water!

We come here very often. At least once per month. I have tasted all kind of rice in the area but i always return to Mas Prades. Others have the fame but here you will appreciate the real taste of seafood paella. The price is very correct. The place is beautiful and the location perfect just in the middles of the Delta. Don't return home without having dinner here.
