Not too sure where to begin on this one as too much to be said! In a nutshell... very disappointing. Set withing the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club we visited Charlie's Grill, which left a bad taste in our mouths (literally) as the food was rather appauling. We kept it simple with Sea bass fish & chips 35 Ringgits. The fish was hardly edible due to toughness & being dry. We left a large chunk of our food on the plates. Most had expressed that this was the place to enjoy sundown but we would say the opposite. The environment is not comfortable nor are the cocktails any good (very watery) for 24 Ringgits each & the staff are rather unenthused by your visit. We could not wait to finish up & leave. This is not the kind of Yacht Club one would expect but if your after cheap, then perhaps go during the day for a beer or a coffee only to see the boats but apart from that you cannot stay long here as nothing else to it. Take moschito spray with you if adamant to visit in the evening. There is nothing 'Royal' about this Yacht Club!

God what a HUGEEEE difference compared with the nasi kandar that we had at Hamed Restaurant (near the jetty/waterfront) which was horrible - this place was de-li-cious!! Definitely one of the nicer restaurants in Langkawi - had their nasi kandar (their fried chicken was fresh and juicy). Will try their other dishes next time (which will be tomorrow :) haha). Reasonably priced.

I dined here after shopping at nearby Mall. I was apprehensive in the beginning as there were not many reviews of this place. The visit turned to be positive one. The taste was above expectation, service was quick, cleanliness and prices were reasonable. The highlight of this place was the seafood. Maybe it got to do with the season, the prawns and fish were fresh and tender. The signature tofu was great.Overall would not hesitate to come back.

This is a Chinese Teochew Seafood Restaurant with very reasonable pricing. The seafoods are fresh and yummy. We like the food so much that we visited again on the next day. There are many tables for seating but there could be quite a crowd during dinner time. They have quite a few specialty dishes. We liked the Fried Garlic Roast Pork and Stir-fried Bean Curd Sticks. There are a number of type of drinks, such as various Chinese Tea, Barley, Herbal drink, Honey Lemon, Ginger Tea and soft drinks, available too.

We were told to go and we are happy we did! Nice food served with a smile and some humor! We tried the broiled grouper, lemon garlic and it was fantastic :)Also some squids (butter something, awesome batter.. I am usually not a fan of fried stuff!) and some mantis shrimp that were verrrry tasty!I will definitively go back soon :D

From booking to dessert, the entire experience was unforgettable. We booked dinner reservations for me, my husband, and five year old son. We were given the option of a Western or local feast and we selected local (we learned afterwards the Western would have been another amazing choice!). We were picked up by the husband at our hotel and driven up a steep road to their oasis only to be greeted by the two sweetest dogs. The view was amazing! Nolita (the wife - hoping i spelled her name right) started us off with delicious tea and beef/chicken/veggie satay followed by the most delicious fish curry, a chicken dish, and squid. She did such an amazing job on the flavors and also catered to my very picky five year old. We ended with chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and mango. The ambiance, the conversation, the food, and the hosts made us wish we could come back for more! Next time, we would love to stay there. The property is so beautiful. Hands down and MUST if you visit Langkawi. Reserve in advance.

Seriously good, tasty home-cooked comfort food; western or local. We are famous for our homemade fresh pasta, bread, pizza, pastry and cakes. Variety of vegetarian or vegan dishes, plenty of options for kids too. You can enjoy the good collection of art d
Had a coffee while deciding if I wanted to eat here. For RM8.80, my cup was not full and the flat white had too much foam (almost a cappucino), thin and extremely bitter. Quite stingy with the milk, and the espresso pull was too long, resulting in the bitter notes. I suspect that the beans are not 100% arabica either, I definitely tasted some robusta. Was expecting better coffee given the reviews, but was sorely disappointed. Service was so-so, cafe decor is quaint, toilets are clean, air-conditioning excellent.

Came highly recommended as Kuah's top seafood place. Arrived as it opened for the evening to avoid the crowds. Ordered the chilli crabs, steamed large prawns and several local vegetables. The chilli crabs and the prawns were delicious. The crabs were cooked to perfection in a well balanced sweet garlicky tradional chilli sauce. The large fresh prawns were streamed correctly with slivers of ginger in Cantonese style. (My preference over the pan fried dark soy sauce version)All finger licking tasty and such good value too. Crabs and some seafood are subject to market prices. The restaurant is now managed by the next generation but with family elders still very much involved.A well deserved commendations.Good food list ticked.
