Chin Swee Vegetarian Restaurant is perched atop a mountain ledge offering a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside. It is the one and only vegetarian restaurant in Genting Highlands. This serene spot is suitable for sightseeing and dining on vari
Took the cable car down to the Chin Swee Temple which is the midway stop from Genting highlands down the mountain. (Nice views). There for our wedding anniversary and at the end dropped into this restaurant. It was the nicest Chinese vegetarian meal we have eaten in Asia. Staff were friendly and helpful with an extensive menu. So much so we asked them for a recommendation on what we liked. The choice was excellent and I now love sweet and sour avaloni mushrooms!! Never heard of them but to die for.Lovely setting and fast efficient and friendly. Can't do better. Hope you like the pictures.

Lobby Cafe is located at the lobby floor of First World Hotel â perfect for those looking for a quick bite. Check out the local favourites like the Hainanese Chicken Rice, Nasi Lemak, Wantan Noodles and Curry Laksa. Notes: Roti Canai (available all day) H
Went on 6th October 2018For those who had checked in to First World Hotel, the display at the cafe could not be missed! Placed strategically near the lift lobbies, it makes the weary traveller perk up!Besides selling pastries and buns, they also sell savory food. It was a little weird to hear that noodles were not ready when I tried to order them yesterday at about 12.15pm. I gave a 4-star rating because of this fact. All in all, they serve happy sights. I find the portions huge and the prices are reasonable. Hopefully, they won't become exorbitant like the hotel check-in charges.

As our friends eat vegetarian food all year round, we were worried that in Genting Highlands, we need to travel to Chin Swee Cave Temple Vegetarian Restaurant for the food. From memories of one occasion, the Chin Swee Cave Temple Restaurant served only vegetarian food which were mostly fried and it was not cheap. I read somewhere that they have buffet at RM30 per person, but this was not to be.Someone recommended the Food Court located at level 2B of First World Hotel complex. And we wanted to try that. When we arrived at the venue, the place was really crowded....we could see queues for the 'chee char' stall for Thai or Chinese cuisines. Then right on the centre is the Vegetarian stall. Surprisingly, this stall was not that crowded and our friends ordered fried bee-hoon. Their food arrived first and after they have eaten, our Thai-cuisine food - stir-fried vegetables with a pot of rice arrive....Looks good and taste good. Like all food in Genting including the vegetarian food, they were all overpriced. But there was no choice.

We chance upon this food factory that are accessible from all the lift lobbies in Genting. It is located at level 3 and we must buy the ticket through the ticketing kiosk. The price is $32RM, it is cheap and have wide varieties of food selection of Chinese, Malay and Indian cuisine to choose from. There is also beverages, fruits and ice cream available. Quite worth the money for a breakfast buffet, highly recommended, seatings are plenty too.

We went there twice for two days trip.First trip we choose ala-carta steamboat. There got few packages. but we choose ala-carta order like how many plates of meat, vegetables. Order 26 items cost about 270Rm. Also include one pot of tea and one coke. For total of 5 adults.Soup we choose tom yam and chicken soup. The steamboat is two soup type. Next day we went we take 2 person steamboat cost about 98RM. Order side dish like steam fish and belacan kang kong. Total 470RM, the fish alone cost about 240RM. However will say their food is pretty fresh, like prawn, meat etc. Thus we feel enjoy and worth it. Recommended. Steamboat think is minimum 2 person. I saw one person eat maybe order side dish only.

This restaurant is located within Gohtong area, nestled among many other eateries. My wife and I decided to give this place a try when we arrived Genting Highlands around lunch time. From the facade, it was nothing out of the ordinary or impressive. The restaurant only had 1 table of patrons seated outside when we arrived which was quite worrying at first. We went ahead to order a deep fried Nam Yu style chicken wings, whole squid steamed with egg, venison slices fried with ginger and onions & toman fish slices fried with giner and onions. The fish slices were fresh and had a nice cruchy texture, the venison was tender but the sauce was a tad too salty, the squid was succulent and had a nice bouncy texture to it while the chicken wings came out as the winner. It was crispy on the outside while juicy and succulent on the inside plus it had a flavourful Nam Yu taste to it.Price was reasonable especially when considering everything in Genting Highlands is either 50% to 100% higher than in KL city centre. Will definitely return again to sample some of the other dishes that they offer.

Ordered Wild boar curry, watercress and stuffed tofu. Excellent in taste. Totally loved the watercress. There is a good sized store beneath the restaurant. There, you may get your coffees and titbits. Opposite the restaurant there are veggie and fruit stalls.

Step into Hainan Express and reminisce the simplicity of the good old days. We bring back the basics such as all-time favourite toasted breads with kaya, aromatic coffee and authentic Nasi Lemak.
While visiting Genting Highlands, we had family lunch at this nice restaurant. A variety of food (Indian,Japanese) was at the buffet. Food was delicious and enjoyed every item we had. On the side of dinning hall, there was lobby overlooking lush green mountains, residential buildings and cable cars. Nice view to take photographs.
