This trattoria is very famous in the area for two main reasons. One is the great hospitality and fantastic service the family, running and owning this place for generations, makes you feel the moment you step in until you are ready to leave. Second, the food menu presents you with the most delicious variety of appetizers, pastas, meat and fish dishes, and house made desserts all made and prepared with local ingredients like oil, butter, eggs, flour, meat and fish are local produces likewise wine and vegetables. The price are reasonable but the dining experience is superb.

This place was packed when we arrived, which is always a good sign. An Italian friend recommended it to me and we all loved it. It was one of the best meals we had in Italy. The food is amazing and you can go beyond pasta and pizza and try new stuff as donkey meat or river fish. Everything was very well presented, amazingly tasty and very well prepared. The service was great and the atmosphere made you feel like a local, something I love when I travel. All in all, is a place where you should go if you are aroung as you will be delighted by their treats. Piacere supremo per la tua bocca! Check my pics!

We were doing some winery visits in the area for Lugana wines and wanted a typical, out in the country kind of a restaurant and this just fit the bill. Our seafood crudo appetizers were very good as were the following main courses of pasta and local lake fish. The service could definitely be better (in Italy it usually is a lot warmer) but all in all we would definitely go back to eat here and so would my friends who were with me,

I reviewed this restaurant before, and this year had another opportunity to eat here a few times. The menus have changed (a little, and creatively so), but the mainstays remain available, like the wonderful Luccio with polenta and the horse steak. Coupled with the excellent wines from the vineyard (which is in the process of expanding) (and do try the Hirundo), the fabulous coffee and the not-to-be-spurned home-made grappa, there is no better way to end a day at a dining table than here!

Rustic Trattoria That Serves Up Classic Specialities, with Attention To The Mantovan And Brescian Traditions.regional And Italian Wines.
We stayed in Sirmione but we wanted to find a place far from touristic attractions, with real Italian food, close to old castles, vineyards etc.On the map we put our finger to La Speranza and reserved our table. We didn't know what to expect.La Speranza is in the small town called Solferino. 15 minutes drive South from main Highway between Venice and Milan (A4).You will pass beautiful landscapes to reach here.Food is very good, portions are generous and desserts are fantastic.I recommend "beaten deer" as antipasti here.Meat dishes are delicious and filling, service, taste, atmosphere and wine selection are really good.We were 3 people and had one bottle plus couple of glasses of wine, 3 antipasti, 3 main dishes and 3 desserts...it was around 45Euros per person. We will visit this restaurant again, as soon as we are back to Italy.
