This lovely little place might be out of the common tourist routes but that makes it all the more interesting. The cosy atmosphere, hospitable people and excellent food made of best local ingredients are certainly worth a short trip outside the city center. The restaurant's interior is vintage and once we started eating it was clear the food was vintage too. The chef explained he collected the old recipes from his and his friends' grandmas because he wanted to promote the traditional Ligurian cuisine with a contemporary twist. The set of antipasti seemed never-ending and each one was better than the previous. The pansoti with salsa di noci were absolutely superb and so was the risotto ai frutti di mare. Afterwards came a dish of delightfully crispy mix of fried fish and seafood. The house wine was good and tiramisu so look delicious. The service was efficient but very friendly. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience.

Tornati una seconda volta a distanza di un anno e usciti se possibile ancor più soddisfatti.Non abbiamo retto fino al dolce, anche perchè le portate sono davvero abbondanti, ma gli antipasti misti, i funghi fritti, i ravioli, il fritto misto piemontese ci hanno davvero appagato.Siamo in un villaggio sperduto in mezzo ai boschi, ma comuque a 30-40 minuti dal casello Serravalle dell'autostrada Milano-Genova e fare ristorazione in questi posti ha già dell'eroico. E qui fanno ristorazione da 120 anni.Non aspettatevi le smancerie di camerieri formali o addestrati a coccolare i clienti. Qui prevale la sostanza, e di sostanza ce n'è davvero tanta.La carta del menu racconta un po' di storia del locale (anche di storia ne hanno tanta) e qualche parrticolare sulle ricette tramandate da generazioni, in particolare i diversi pani e la formula segreta dei ravioli.Parcheggio sotto alberi secolari, pace e silenzio. Locale difficilmente accessibile a disabili (rampa di scale per accedere alla sala e altrettanto per raggiungere i servizi igienici).Il conto è stato una sorpresa positiva.

This restaurant in Genoa's suburbs is a great surprise! Very good food, wine and service.We had excellent seafood and mushrooms too. Dessers are delicious as well.The atmosphere is informal but very pleasant.It is definitely worth a visit!

It's a small restaurant deep in the the valley behind genova in a small village called Ceranesi. From downtown Genova it could be 45 minutes driving in a traffic period but normally it is no more than 30.Any way it's worth to come there. It's a place where you could it all fresh fish and meat too done in a perfect way , all portion are more done abundant , it's place for people who like to eat. All the personnel is really kind and the owner is a driver of all the clients giving them lots of information about the dishes of the day in a very scenic way. Place more than suggested. Reservation mandatory

This is a restaurant around 30-40 minutes outside Genoa. If you arrive in the evening there is nothing much to see. The food comes as multiple small courses. It is not the top Italian food you will ever eat but it is perfectly acceptable home style cooking.

I discovered this little restaurant causally, in two months i have been there two times ( for birthday and St.Valentine event).Looking at the high quality level I can say the price is acceptbale because not high.

Stato con amici che la conoscono ed apprezzato molto la qualità della pizzeria: io personalmente provato la pizza con il bordo ripieno di ricotta, eccezionale! Servizio accurato con cestino di focaccia come entrèe, personale gentile e disponibile. Tutto molto buono non posso che consigliare questa prima pizzeria.

Discovered while we were traveling hidden in the houses of a small village.
