Hamidos is a diner style restaurant with a family style table setting and a few 4 seat booths. Their food is spectacularly delicious. An appetizer of pickles and peppers start the dining experience. I adore these pickles! One ordered a Tawolk salad, two ordered the chicken tawolk dish, one with Baba Ghanouj the other with rice which had small pieces of meat and a cinnamon dusting. The chicken was succulent! Perfectly baked. We also ordered a starter of hommous. One had Hommous with Meat Shawarma. SO Tasty.

Went here on my Lebanese Lyft driver's recommendation. The place was full of families enjoying Sunday dinner with the family. Promptly seated and given fresh, warm pita and a creamy garlic paste plus water. We were awfully hungry as well as happy to see dishes we weren't familiar with, so we ordered toouch--but so was everyone else! The food was that good. We had...Fattoush, hummus with cubes of beef (excellent!) as the shawarma wasn't ready (it was early still), dandoline, and a mixed shish platter. Haha, we have lunch for two for tomorrow as well!Lovely warm service, fresh food and new dishes. Loved it. Totally recommended.

This place is so dear to my heart for many years. The staff are awesome, food delightful, and my stomach says thank you a whole lot. Freshness is key..bread yummy for the bakery is next door. I model my Arabic dishes after this restaurant to serve to my friends, coworkers, and family! Good food!

I took eleven family members out to dinner. We chose this place based on its menu options and the TripAdvisor reviews. Being personally a vegan and professionally a plant-based diet advocate, I chose Habib's with the hope of sharing with my family omnivores that they don't have to eat dead animals to enjoy a wonderful dining experience. This venue did that, plus so much more. The ambience is exceptional, the menu choices are ample and diverse, the price point is very reasonable and the service was excellent. Our waiter, Ali, tended to our every need being both personal and attentive. We left with many leftovers that lasted through the next day. I will definitely return to this venue next time I visit Michigan.

I canât say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. They are extremely service oriented. The food was absolutely fantastic and the portions were huge but the service is what really put this place over the top. Itâs over an hour away but I will definitely return often.

Let me begin by saying that this was our first time here so we cannot compare anything to a previous owner. We were a group of 24, many of whom had never had Lebanese food before. Hubby and I love Middle Eastern food. The cup of lentil soup was excellent ($3). The âsmallâ tabbouli serving was enormous and tasty ($5). The fried kibbee, served with yogurt, was also very good ($8). The falafel was somewhat over cooked ($8) and came with tahini, tomatoes and pickles. Our BBQ chicken wings were very good as well ($7). Overall we found the servings to be generous, nicely presented and reasonably priced. We let others try some of our selections to see if they liked it.... they all were pleasantly surprised. A few folks did not like their meals mainly because they were unfamiliar with the tastes, not because there was anything wrong with the food. Despite some negative reviews, which made us hesitant, I am very glad we went. The service was friendly, efficient and pretty quick for such a large group. Rania did a great job!! The decor and Arabic music rounded out a very enjoyable evening.

We visited La Pita again this year for dinner on a Wednesday night. It wasn't too busy so we were seated right away. Our server walked by a few times but it took another server saying something to him before he came to our table. We had humus and pita (their fresh pita is amazing!) and my mom had falafel while I had a shwarma roll. We shared fatoosh as well. Everything was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

We were in Detroit for a conference, and our Lyft driver was taking us to a restaurant that turned out to be closed (cork and gabel). He asked if we liked middle eastern food, and suggested Al Ameer. It was a bit further away, but we are very glad we listened to him. The hummus, tabouleh, babaganoush, shawarma, chicken, fatoush were excellent. We have spent a lot of time in the middle east, and were thrilled with the food. The service was all it needed to be and the servings were huge (we took a lot back to the hotel). Highly recommend this place... also, the pita is made in a wood-fired oven, and it really makes a difference.
