Reviews on Latin food in Zihuatanejo, Zihuatanejo de Azueta, Guerrero. While resorts continue to spring up, "Zihua" remains determined to maintain its small-town flavor. The brick-paved "fisherman's walk," a nod to the region's seafaring roots, stretches along the town center. Because the nightlife is mostly informal, Zihua is particularly appealing to couples and those seeking an escape from coastal party towns.

We ordered the Tacos al Pastor, and the Tintan. Both were prepared well, and tasted great! If you wish to have flour tortillas, they do charge a nominal fee. A traditional menu, with authentic food.Would recommend everyone give this place at least one try.On the occasions we've been there, no one spoke English, but that only added to he experience.

This is a little secret place. It is a large restaurant. Beautiful and super clean. The coconut shrimps are the best I ever had. The scallops sashimi to gym for. The portion are large. tacos de Camarones are super. You have to try it. You will love it. The staff is smiling and some of them speak English as well. I am here with my little Coco chanel and my husband. Great way to spend an afternoon or good evening. They have a band on the weekend from 4 to 8 Mexican lunch and happy hours. Try it you will love it.

We were staying a short distance away at Hotel Irma, which was situated on Playa La Madera. Some guests recommended that we visit Play La Ropa and that we could access the beach at Restaurante La Perla. The distance between these two establishments is not great, a taxi fare of around 45 pesos will get you there. This is popular spot on the beach. This is a nice restaurant serving all the meals that a day offers, decent service, good food, prices not bad, perhaps a bit more higher, to be expected at such a popular tourist spot! Our BLT sandwich plus two cokes cost $200 pesos plus a tip. We were here to gain access to the beach, we were able to secure two beach chairs/umbrella for $130 pesos. This was a decent price which gave us good seating and was in close proximity to the beach. We also had good service to whatever snacks and drinks we "needed".Playa La Ropa is probably the most desirable beach on Zihuatanejo Bay. The waves seemed more gentle and there was more of a slope out to the water. Playa LA Madera has a very flat beach which allows the waves to pound quite a ways up over the sand. There is not much soft sand to sit on and you really have to go out quite a ways to get into wadeable water. Also, as you can see in pictures, the water is very cloudy until you get out to where the water hits the sand bar, consequently, you have large, noisy waves forming at this point. This is hard to explain, but there you go, I tried. Anyway, La Ropa is a much nicer beach.Enjoy!

As a former restaurant manager . one of the things I look for is the cleanliness of the establishment . the first thing at Dona Licha is how impeccably clean the area is .The floor is spotless , tables clean and surrounding areas clean !! stopped in for lunch for BBQ chicken and burrito's . Very good , fresh and tasty . great service and very reasonable !! I noticed the breakfast crowd is predominantly tourists and the lunch mostly Mexican tells me they have a good thing going on here ! Sorta tucked down the second street ? going north by the oxxo and the Kyoto circle turn left . A must try if visting Zih !

From the outside, this restaurant appears to be quite small but it is just the opposite. We had shrimp and steak tacos. There were four tacos to a plate instead of the usual three. The margaritas were tasty. We will be back.

As advertised, the tacos were great. We had fish carnitas and smoked fish, of which the latter was among the best I've had anywhere. We also had the ceviche blanco appetizer, which was also great. Good service, and fair prices. We arrived "early" at 7 and were the only ones for a while. It was getting busier later as we left. Don't miss the various paintings of the sirena gorda!

The Restaurant The Braseros has over 25 years of open, began as selling grilled chicken, cheese, charro beans, marinated meat. Back then it was called Chano and Chon, the name of the braziers was given because our first course was to make a barbecue in a
Stopped for lunch on Saturday. Restaurant had one other client. Absolutely no welcome at all, rather a feeling we were infringing on their time. Ordered a margarita and a pina colada, the latter of which was quite awful.Rather then pursue this further discomfort, we left. Having traveled in Mexico for over 30 years, this restaurant is appalling. So many other great friendly places in Zihua.Hello, we are sorry that the bad time you had, hopefully and give us another opportunity to prove that our restaurant is actually totally the opposite of what you describe. We hope and consider it, that we wait for you back.

This restaurant is located on a small cove and can only be reached by water taxi from the pier. There are about 10 restaurants on this isolated cove. They have no actual address, no electricty, no telephone and all food/beverages are brought in by the wat
We enjoyed the facilities there. There was a group of 9 there and the service was excellent. Our only complaint was the seafood platter. Except for the platter, the day could not have been better. We had arranged a water taxi from La Ropa round trip for our group for 500 pesos. The taxi was there exactly at 3 pm as we had asked. The whole day was a fun day because most were returning home 2 days later..

We are a family business for over 20 years we were located within the Airport Zihuatanejo, the business was called "Snack Bar - El Mirador"; but in 2008 we decided to leave the anonymity and moved to town with a new "Carmelite Cafe" concept. The mission o
You see them making fresh tortillas at the entrance and that tips you off to what's inside. We went two days in a row and tried four different dishes to really get a good feel for their menu. Carmelitta's daughter waited on us and explained all the dishes to us. Great breakfasts.
