not much taste with the beef empanada and the arroz con pollo was just ok-people down the shore don't know what a good empanada is-go to any lunch truck in Newark-jersey city-Hoboken and taste a really great empanada-very pricey at $3.50-$4.50 a piece.not very big and could eat 4 or 5 .up north you will get the same but much better empanada for $2.00-the food difference between north jersey and south jersey is amazing but I don't feel south jersey has ever tried north jersey food-blows south jersey away!!-I moved to south jersey 18 years ago from north jersey and miss all the food from north-pizza the most.luckily I still work in north jersey and can bring all the good food home after work-very slow.waited 35 minutes to get food.
Where to eat Portuguese food in West Long Branch: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Por Do Sol is a total winner and ranks as one of my favorite new restaurants. The food is delicious, the sangria is simply the best I've every had and the service is better nowhere. This is not a fancy tablecloth restaurant but rather a beyond friendly neighborhood place that you simply sit back and relax, eat, drink and enjoy. The Paella, Portuguese Steak, Portuguese Sausage are my favorites but everything is good. By the way when you get the bill - you'll be even happier - the prices are right.

I really like this rustic place. The restaurant has an adjacent typical Mexican store that sells everything from leather goods to Mexican specialty foods. All their meat dishes are really delicious and well cooked. I'm a die-hard fajita fan and the tamales verdes are no less. The nachos also deserve a mention. The layer cake with dulce de leche is addictive.Prices are honest and service is attentive and friendly.
