Reviews on Latin food in San Pedro, Belize Cayes, Belize. San Pedro is "La Isla Bonita" that Madonna made famous. Now it's a tourist mecca, but still boasts great beaches and plenty of dive shops so you can enjoy the sun, sand, and sea. Plan a side trip to Caye Caulker while you're here; it is less developed and more laid back, and has its own splendid swimming areas.

A funky little place in the heart of downtown San Pedro. Serves great local food with a smile and very reasonable prices. Has a sand floor and is a little dark & run down, but great people & good food!

Just got back from an 8 day trip to Ambergris Caye and after a long day traveling to the island we couldn't wait to have dinner at OUR Favorite Restaurant on the Island! I had the lobster burrito as usual and it did not disappoint me! The food is fantastic! The service is great too! If you are looking for a quick place to eat this is not for you! They make all the food fresh and its a central american country so they are on island time which means they take their time! Life is not a race and this restaurant is not a place to eat and run!!

Come experience fine dining at the all new chic Caprice. Enjoy a skillfully made, artisan cocktail at the bar in an elegant setting or indulge in enticing entrées and more. With an eye popping ocean scenery, elegant waterwall, modern lounge areas and mood
We had Christmas dinner at this little restaurant tucked inside the Holiday Hotel. It was lovely. Although they were very crowded and we didn't have reservations, they worked us in quickly. We're glad they did! Great food, wonderful service. No desserts, which was odd, but a nicely stocked bar and upbeat ambiance. Right on the sea, with great views and ocean breezes. Definitely worth checking out!

Causual, good food right on the beach in the heart of town. Stop by, let the wind whisk away your cares, have a couple of Mojitos and a really good lunch or dinner!
We had an excellent lunch. The food was incredible. I got the baja fish wrap and my wife got the tuna burger. Both were really good. The pasta salad was my favorite side dish i've had on the island. It was also really nice to be overlooking the ocean during our meal.

Family owned authentic hand made pupusas, fajitas, civiche made to order. Tostades, carne asada, Belizean rice and beans and delicious burritos.
I ordered one pupusa and their special of lobster tacos because I love lobster. Wished Iâd ordered all pupusas; they were so good. Both reasonably priced, but the âguacamoleâ served with the tacos was far from guacamole, not sure what it was and the salsa served with chips and salsa was straight out of a can. All that said, worth going back for the namesake pupusas.

Neri's Tacos is famous in San Pedro for serving fresh made Mexican style food for 13 years. Burrito's, Tacos, plus much more food choices including vegetarian options. We also serve a huge range of fresh squeezed juices daily. We are open 7 days a week, M
Neri's is where a lot of the local community eat. It is not a tourist or a fancy restaurant. You sit at picnic tables on a dirt floor. An 18" step up platform gets you to the order counter where you see the entire kitchen. Tacos are small, but 3 are only $1 Belize, or $ .50 US. The chicken ones were delicious. I needed more than those for lunch so I ordered one of their stuffed fry jacks, triangular dough that is fried. I was expecting the usual size of about 3" on a side. Instead what I got was a delectable stuffed pastry about the size of a large calzone. I could only eat half of it. To wash this down I ordered one or their agua frescas, Tamarind, and it was fantastic. All of this wonderful meal only cost $4.25 US.

If there's one "chill out" spot on the northern part of the island you don't want to miss, it's the Truck Stop. There's a cusine for every age, stage and taste available at the various "container kiosks" and it's all pretty tasty. Over our week on the island, we enjoyed tacos, pizza, egg rolls, beer and coconut mojitos during several visits and were never disapointed. Plus, as fellow reviewers testify, there's just this great, relaxed, warm vibe with everything going on from live music to family board games to little ones dipping in the pool. So, park your golf cart out front, put on bug spray, and take a seat sharing a picnic table with others to enjoy the evening. You'll be glad you did.
