We so enjoyed our meal on our first night in Costa Rica that we returned when we were back in San Jose. The rump steak was excellent - really flavorful - and prices were reasonable. There were a variety of size steaks which is perfect if you don't have a huge appetite. The service was fast and friendly.

The menu has a big alert along the bottom warning you of the 27% service charge for the restaurant. Do your math beforehand so you don't end up shocked, even if you did see it coming (raising my hand here).The service was friendly and attentive but the food took my attention here. What our group had to say about it:Veggie causa: Mushrooms, carrots, peppers, and broccoli on the mashed potato heaven. Very good.Pasta with shrimp: Sauce was unique and super creamy. Shrimp cooked well. Tasty.Chicken with ham: Essentially a cordon blue. Cooked well with good ham. Cabbage salad was tasty.Was it worth the 27% service charge? Depends. If you have access to great Peruvian food elsewhere, no. If you don't, yes. But after a review of our receipt we saw they had taken several hundred colones of the prices of our meal, dropping it lower than what we should have paid. Thank you!If you are not on a budget and want a fancy night out with great Peruvian food, this is the ticket.

With one night in San Jose, we chose to dine at this an upscale restaurant. This place had great food, professional service and over the top presentation! Every dish came out with a mini show, my croquettes were swirling in dry ice! Very cool experience. We had a lovely meal here during our stay in San Jose. The steaks were excellent and cooked to perfection, as were the accompaniments. We also had an excellent Argentinian Malbec, and 2 different desserts which were really tasty too. The service was very friendly and the decor and ambience were spot on. An excellent experience overall.

Having lived in Argentina I have to say this place is one of the most authentic Argentinian places I have been to. Of course they serve a whole lot of non-typical things too but everything that you might expect from a real parilla is available. And tastes amazingExtra points for an amazing ambience.

I visited the restaurant with mum and some dear friends.The restaurant is located inside Grano de Oro's Hotel.The atmosphere of this place is exquisite and absolutely unique in San Jose because the architecture of this hotel, despite is a recent work (modern) evokes the beautiful charm of Victorian architecture. There's a refined work of interior architecture and details which well worth a visit and which will make you feel you into another era.But not just the atmosphere counts, food is wonderful, tasty, refined and prepared with love and care.In the menu you can choose a wide variety of delicious dishes made with local ingredients and french cooking techniques, as well.I strongly encourage people to visit the place. This is the breakfast place for guests who are staying at their cabins. Breakfast is typical Costa Rican fare. This is the go to place for birdwatcher groups coming from other areas. We also had one dinner the first night when we came back late after hiking. We ordered trout and we enjoyed the meal. There is a bird feeder at the back of the restaurant where you can see a lot of colourful birds.muchas gracias, por su visita gracias
