Melrose Place was just around the corner of where we stayed and was recommended by the manager there. After the first night we ended up eating there every night. Rolando, the manager and chef didnât have a menu yet, but cooked some seriously amazing food from only the freshest ingredients for a more than reasonable price. We had a really great time there, as the atmosphere was really nice and friendly and we always stayed there for a couple of hours.

Father Rooster is the premier beachfront bar & restaurant on the northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The location and scenery combined with top quality (yet very simple) food and our famous frozen drinks makes Father Rooster a must see on your next visi
Our family of six had a fun time finding this place, and were glad we did. It's a great place to relax by the beach, have some tropical drinks and good food. We stayed around to watch the sun set on a huge rock between two islands off shore. The team of servers was very attentive. Our only complaint would be the constant battle to keep pesky flies off of our drinks and food.Hello Birdguy: Thank you for your review and for your business! I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with us. I have watched many sunsets between the mountain and island in front of Father Rooster. It is quite a display. Glad you enjoyed the food and drinks. I wish that we had a better solution for the flies. They come on occasion and cover the entire region--generally when the winds are pushing out from the farmland over the ocean. It is pretty tough to keep them at bay. In any case, thanks again for your business and please come back again soon!

We'd been meaning to try out this new restaurant in Coco, finally made it, and wish we had gone sooner! Our neighbors raved about it, and now we see why.The menu is limited, but with enough variety to please everyone. I ordered risotto with fish, my husband ordered the Tomahawk steak that we had heard about, and we split an order of mussels for an appetizer. No sooner had our drinks arrived when the power in the whole town went out! Oh no, was our dinner ruined? Nope. They moved a table outside for us where it was cooler, and proceeded to cook our meal.Everything was prepared to perfection. The steak was the most expensive item at about $30, but my husband said it was the best steak he's ever had. It came with a huge serving of mashed potatoes, a salad, and 2 sauces, all delicious. My risotto was great, as well. We topped it off with the chocolate mousse, which was more like what we call lava cake in the states. It came with a shot of rum to pour on top and a scoop of ice cream. A bit of heaven...Would highly recommend this place. The food was perfection, and the service couldn't have been better - even with no power!

At Casa del Mar Restaurant you can eat on the classic wooden deck around the pool while admiring the main boulevard of Playas del Coco. Come enjoy the cuisine or simply have a drink after choosing from our ample list of national and imported liquors, trop
My husband and I went with a group of friends. I ordered the seafood & rice. The mussels we're smashed opened, portions of the broken shell were mixed in with the rice. I didn't eat it, as I was worried I'd break a tooth. The crab on top you couldn't crack eat, as they didn't provide an to to crack open with. A friend had the pasta in a tomato sauce, but the sauce was uneatable & tasted like ketchup. Worst of all my husband came home with food poisoning from his seafood & pasta. Servers were very nice & offered us a discount, but the food was terrible & made us sick. Would not recommend. We want to offer the apologies for your experience in our restaurant, usually always good experiences but we appreciate your comments to review and improve the dishes in which they do not have good experience, we believe your comments are very important to improve the quality of our dishes

A wonderful family-owned restaurant, featuring local seafood, generous servings and delicious mixed drinks! Our group of seven adults tried a variety of entrees for lunch and everyone was happy with their choices, which ranged from seafood cocktails/ceviches, to grilled and fried entrees and combo plates to hamburgers.

New breakfast and lunch place in town. Great food at a very reasonable price. Previously, there was a bakery here.
This place provides a buffet of standard Tico fare for a good price. You get 1 meat plus all the sides (rice, really good mashed potato, veg, black beans and plantain) for 4000 colones including a drink! Cheap as chips and ever so tasty too. I would thoroughly recommend it and have been dreaming of the mashed potato ever since I visited...

Food taste was fair. Worst is the major gas I got from the chicken fajitas. I also ordered a plain cake ahead of my meal to take home and the waitress started cutting the last 2 pieces then gave it to the cab drivers. Before it was given to the cab drivers I said â thatâs the cake I pre ordered. â they told me I can have any other cake but not that one. The cab drivers just laughed. I hear the restaurant is owned by investors. I wonder if they know about the customer service here?

We went for the pork chop breakfast (on the recommendation of a long time expat) and were not disappointed. The food was great and plentiful. The owner served us himself and was so kind and helpful. Would definitely return!
