On the day we visited Ciboney for breakfast it was very quite. The decor is great with dark mohogany tables, coffee sacks on the ceiling and painted wood panelling, the waiting staff are smartly dressed, it has a feel of old colonial Havana about it. The restaurant is right next to party city in the commercial centre and has ample parking. The breakfast is very good value for money, 3 good size pancakes $2.99 and eggs, bacon or ham, hash brown, Cuban toast and coffee at $4.95. Everything was really good and the service was excellent. Cuban eateries come in all shapes and sizes I would say that this one is trying to aim at the higher end, without the higher prices. If we had time we would have certainly came back for dinner. One word of caution Ciboney does not open until 9am week days.

Fun evening with great food. The fun was Frankie the singer with his music machine singing classics from Sinatra to Elvis with some Latino songs mixed in. The tapas were excellent; chorizo al vino, gambas al ajillo and the best ensalada Rusa I have had in a long time. (This is a potato salad with extra ingredients.) The entree was the solomillo al cabrales - a filet mignon with a cheese and cream sauce cooked perfectly. Finally the restaurant has an extensive wine list.

I should have taken a picture but it looked so good and tasted even better. My husband and I got different plates so we could share and this is the best way to taste a little bit of everything. He got the puertorican breakfast and I got the bistec a caballo. His came with mofongo and mines with steak. They both came with eggs, mines with fries and his with bacon. We shared everything!! It was as delicious as it looked. I love coming here because at night it is very lively but sometimes you are really hungry and want to eat a hearty, flavorful breakfast and THIS IS IT.. Hidden Gem in Hialeah off of the palmetto.. For 20 dollars we had an amazing brunch.. The next time I come back i will update with pictures to do this review justice. One thing though.. Our waitress was not around and we asked another waitress for water.. We almost choked and she gave her tables water and not us.. *owners take note*.. This is not a waitress that represents your wonderful restaurant.

Not sure why we went as someone placed vegetarian friendly NOT. Staff tried to sell quesadillas said hard to do burritos without meat?????? Just your normal Mexican place without the spice as all meals very bland. BTW mot sure how many times we were tried to order alcohol even when we said no & then no...Not a return!

Restaurant is located in Miami Lakes but may also be found in HIaleah. In addition, this restaurant has several locations around miami.
This restaurant was recommended by the staff at our hotel. We were very disappointed and would not go back. First of all, the staff do not speak English. We felt like nobody wanted to wait on us due to the fact that we did not speak Spanish. Most importantly, the food was poor; it was served cold and we felt like there was nothing we could do about it due to the language barrier. Very poor experience.

I have frequented this gem on multiple occasions. If you have never tried Nicaraguan food, think Argentinian and you will not be far off. Beautiful and unusual decor, indoor and outdoor seating in the heart of Miami Lakes. The food is great, the service is excellent and the experience is wonderful. Moderately priced.

In an upscale shopping area. Good food. Reasonable prices. You order at the counter, and the food is brought to your selected table. There's a salsa bar. I got the chicken burrito, stuffed with goodies and accompanied by chips and pico de gallo. I'd order it again. Good service.

Always stop here for a good meal. No highway robbery and friendly service. Spanish is main language here but they know some English. Heaping portions and good staff. Thank you very much for your comment! Happy month of Love and Friendship!
