Reviews on Latin food in Key West, Florida, United States. Does time ever pass in the Florida Keys? Everyone and everything in Key West seems to go at its own pace, right down to the ice melting slooooowly in your margarita glass. Of course, it’s not all limes and leisure – Key West is known as the “Winter White House” because of its appeal to visiting U.S. presidents, and the island has been home to literary greats like Ernest Hemingway and Tennessee Williams. The diving here is phenomenal, as is the kid-friendly Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center.

Came here on a Monday evening in June. Grabbed a seat immediately. The interior of the restaurant is attractive, like an old diner. Service was extremely slow. Due to typically large portion sizes with Hispanic food, my wife and I opted to share a steak burrito meal (we don't need a lot of food for a meal). The meal took a good half hour to prepare. When it arrived, we were surprised to find a 6' burrito with hardly any cheese and not much steak inside. A small side of rice was served as well. The burrito was just OK. I have gotten larger burritos at Taco Bell. After we finished, we were both still hungry. The price of this "meal" was $13.99--VERY high. We waited for someone to come and take our bill, but no one came. We were basically ignored. We left the EXACT amount of the bill on the table and walked out.We were so hungry afterward that we stopped at Wendy's and had another meal. Way small portions, high prices, and bad service equate to a poor restaurant. Do not go. It will frustrate you.

We happened upon this gem while walking up Duval St on a family vacation . It happened to be "Taco Tuesday " where this authentic Mexican restaurant offered $3 dollar soft shell tacos which I ordered . I am not a big fan of Mexican food but my children are. I was a convert by the time I left this outstanding place . The tacos were super fresh, flavorsome and perfectly balanced . We were so enamored by this place for lunch that we came back for dinner . The deserts are sublime ( fried ice cream and Key Lime Pie). The gentleman who brought our food was from Kazakhstan and was a super ambassador for this fine establishment . Great atmosphere, great food and drinks and great prices . Would totally recommend this place . Not a tourist trap and not overly expensive . Please visit when you are Key West . You will not be disappointed .

Stopped in for supper while visiting KW. Found the restaurant to be very clean and welcoming. Very much a family style place. Ordered the roast pork and my wife had fish. I had enough for 2 meals and took plenty back to the hotel. Prices were very fair and service was great. We'll be back if/when we get to KW.

This is an small storefront restaurant. The person who served us was delightful and friendly as was the chef. The food we ordered was excellent, and we left well fed. I had an appetizer sized cevicle - leche de tigre. The lime sauce was superb. My wife had a seafood chaufa - fried rice with seafood. She loved it. Prices are reasonable, for example, Peruvian Cusquena beer was s$5.

This was our very first dining experience upon arriving in Key West. The sangria truly was the best ever. The staff was very personable and attentive. The menu had too many delicious sounding options...it was hard to choose. Best empanadas we've ever tasted. Mom's salad was phenomenal. I had Grandma's Shrimp and my husband had the snapper. Both were excellent. We were too stuffed full to try dessert but the desserts looked amazing as well. Great find. Great ambiance and service.
