Our prayers are answered. Hacienda Mexican restaurant is under new ownership and management. You notice the moment you walk in the door that the atmosphere is inviting, open, and bright. The newly painted interior and rearrangement of the tables help a lot. Rosa is the manager, who will greet you and invite you to dine in the restaurant rather than take your order to go. Sit down and enjoy the new menu. There is a sincere effort to provide healthful and organic choices: dishes cooked without lard, fresh vegetables and sauces, organic orange water, and a variety of beers. Their tacos are filled with sauteed carne asada, chorizo and nopales, beer battered halibut, and pork chorizo. My large bean and cheese burrito was delicious, and my friend's arrachera steak was perfectly prepared medium rare, as it should be. The steak dish accompanied by guacamole, pico de gallo, cilantro, and tomatillo rice for $14.00 was outstanding. It was a deal. As for deals, starting Monday Hacienda will have Happy Hour from 2:00 on. Three dollar beers and four dollar martinis and margaritas. You can be sure that Rosa will make your dining experience one you'll want to repeat.

Here at Ranas we offer authentic Mexico City dishes and dishes from the central region of Mexico. We are family owned and operated since 2004.
Sometimes finding a neighborhood restaurant with savory dishes, excellent choices, and great prices that has polite, professional and helpful servers can be seen as a blessing. At Ranas you have all of this in addition to a very clean, safe and friendly environment that is well managed and out performs most other restaurants for a really good and filling breakfast. As well as many mores breakfast's, I intend to enjoy lunch and dinner there for years to come. When you are lucky enough to find a perfect spot that brings you great pleasure, enjoy it as often as you can because memories are just not nourishing enough should opportunities to visit ever end.

At Casa de Pico in La Mesa, guests can enjoy outdoor patio dining year-round, surrounded by trees, colorful flowers and splashing fountains. Rounding out the Mexican dining experience are the strolling mariachis and famous award-winning giant margaritas.
We met our local friends who highly recommended this restaurant to satisfy our craving for good Mexican food and it lived up to our high expectations. We had to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated for dinner but once we were in, we had great service. Our orders were brought out very quickly and all the food tasted so much better than any Mexican restaurant on the east coast. The margaritas were some of the largest sizes we had ever seen and the food proportions were also on the large side. I don't think anyone in our party were able to finish their plates and we gave all our leftovers to our local friends. I look forward to visiting this place again on our next visit.
