This restaurant came highly recommended by our tour guide. The second day of our three day trip we decided to have a late lunch. It was so good, we returned the next day for another late lunch. Beware, it gets crowded fast, and without reservations, it can be a long wait, but it so worth it. The plates are visual feast for the eyes. The presentation is so beautiful, you whipped out your iPhone to take pictures. You almost don't want to eat it! From the first bite, you hooked. The food just melts in your mouth. Not only is the food delectable, but the atmosphere is charming. It feels like you are at a quaint Paris cafe; open-aired, looking out into the street, watching all the passer buyers go by. Now we see why it so highly recommended. Try it-You will love it.

Dinner tonight was terrific. We stopped into El Faro and perused the menu, although they had Empanadas and Arpea we chose a mix and match. I ordered the Hawaiian Pizza, medium, and Vern ordered the grilled octopus. When the meals arrived I got 1/2 the octopus and he got 1/2 the pizza. Plenty of food for both of us. His dinner came with a salad and fries, but the hit was the awesome grilled octopus. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The pizza was also a delight. The sauce wasn't straight up tomato but a mixed sauce that was mild and complimented the pineapple and ham. The pineapple was sweet and plentiful. Perfect. The staff were efficient and mellow. A table next to us ordered an appetizer and got a full meal, didn't advise the staff and at it all and then wanted credit back. The staff, again, were calm but insisted the man ate the meal and there would be no credit back. Well handled.

I don't understand all the negative reviews. We stopped for lunch and ordered their $8 meals. Both meals were great with plenty of food. They have a wide choice of entrees. Service was very good. We have no complaints and will probably return for another lunch or dinner.

Our family of 5 just spent 5 days on Isabela and we had breakfast and cappucinos every morning at Sun and Coffee. Everything that we tried (fresh juices, fresh fruit, eggs, crepes, etc) were delicious! And we so enjoyed our amazing cappucinos (not easy to find on Isabela). The manager was a lovely man- he even gave us a great recommendation for snorkeling and swimming one day. I would recommned this place for breakfast or lunch- you will find amazing service, friendly people, and delicious and fresh food!
