With so many options for cheaper meals it is hard to choose. However, unfortunately by going here we chose wrong. Cerbiche was actually quite tastey (hence 2 stars) - mains were tiny and COLD (one main wasn't even eaten) - drinks never came and was just an all-round terrible dining experience.

I go to this bakery almost everyday. They have great empanadas (carne is the best) and their tarts are very good as well. Friendly owner and cheap prices keep me coming back!
Huanchaco Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Huanchaco
Everything here that I have tried is really great. The ceviche, calamari, lomo saltado, pisco sours, causa - all excellent. But the tiraditos (thinly sliced fish ceviche) is especially worth getting! Still thinking about it months later... The outdoor seating is really comfortable and you are right on the beach. Amazing place for a nice leisurely lunch!

This is not a fancy place. You come to Pisagua because of the food, not the looks. The local is quite old and the wall paint is coming out, the tables are of plastic and not really nice. The view is nice if you seat by the door, Huanchaco y a lovely beach for surfers...But the food is UNIQUE! I am Peruvian and like to eat, I have been to many places and tasted several kinds of ceviche, some of them were superb, but this ceviche is better, the best I have ever tried, it is very simple, just a few ingredients, ask for a good fish (they have a version with cheap fish that is not bad but it´s not the real thing) and that amazing chili (aji mochero), and that´s it, the perfect ceviche. There is also quite nice "picante de langostinos", a spicy shrimp dish, also "cangrejo reventado", a great crab and egg dish, you should go and try several dishes...

Restaurante Turistico El Sombrero en huanchaco tiene 25 años de experiencia en el mercado. Especializado en pescados y mariscos, con una hermosa vista frente al mar.
We enjoyed our Peruvian lunch and Pisco Sour overlooking the beach for entertainment. The service was good, and the food was terrific! The presentation was lovely. I do suggest you try this place if you want to try the typical foods in a clean and upscale place. Not expensive.

Came here for lunch in May 2018. Great views of the ocean from the terrace and really nice staff. Pisco sours were a little sweet for our taste. The ceviche assortment, however, was fantastic. Fresh, zingy, spicy and varied. Breaded fried fish was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside; rice accompaniment was just plain rice, but the salad was fresh and came with a choice of two dressings (olive oil and creamy herb vinaigrette). Only negative on the food was that the tartare sauce seemed to just be mayonnaise with parsley...One of the waiters spoke really good English and everyone was pleasant and professional. We were disappointed to see our tip get concealed by one of the waiters - it really didnât look like he intended to share it with his colleagues front of house or in the kitchen. In fact, we tipped a second time (directly to another waiter), to ensure all the staff got a share.
