First stop into LA after a Costco run. Pleasantly surprised. A bit divey on the corner. Plenty of parking. All sorts of people came in and out showing appeal to many different tastes. Armenians Hispanics asians caucasians. You get it. Someone knows something and they were right. Simple and fast. Had asada lengua al pastor tacos. All great. Fairly priced. Definitely, back again

My wife and I were regulars at Mi Corazon. I realized that it was extremely expensive for Mexican food, but it tasted good and it was within walking distance to our home. All of the non-GMO and organic hoopla really didn't matter to me, but that's how they justify the expensive menu. Again, that's fine. The problem I have is the portion size became extremely small compared to when we first started eating here. That I have a problem with. I literally left to go next-door and get a sandwich after dinner. After that, sadly, we will no longer support Mi Corazon.

At Gauchos Village, we thoroughly understand your need for that perfect dining experience. From a tantalizing assortment of authentic Brazilian cuisine, to lively and festive entertainment, we have it all here! Our goal is to make sure you and your guests
This is a really fun place for lunch because it is located off the main road and like a quiet oasis with outdoor seating. We were politely welcomed and promptly seated. The very friendly waiter explained the buffet to us as well as the significance of the colored wooden pegs at each table. Green up signals the server to come by with grilled beef, sausage or chicken, red up means to hold off. It is a fun concept. The all you can eat buffet offered a great variety of very fresh salads as well as various types of bread and hot dishes. The Chicken Stroganoff and Brazilian rice were especially delicious. Once we returned to our table, the grilled meat started to arrive. Steak tips, sirloin, spicy or mild chicken and sausage were brought by in regular intervals and carved off a spit at the table. It was really cool. The dessert, a whole pineapple grilled with cinnamon was the grand finale. I really liked it!

The 4th location of the Frida Restaurant concept continues the owner's passion for offering traditional authentic Mexican Cuisine. Located at the Americana at Brand Center. Whether inside surrounded by a colorful mural or at the patio overlooking the trol
Found Frida through theskedge.com and saw they have happy hour. I was pretty excited about this because usually this place is expensive for a Mexican restaurant. When looking over the happy hour menu, I was surprised to see cheap pricing on their menu for once lol. Wells drinks are $5 and margaritas are $6. Not bad for a place at the Americana. Food is good. Their steak quesadillas are delicious!

This restaurant is super cozy and quite dark (I did not see the ramp or steps in the back side of the restaurant as we came in!) The music is a mix of jazz and French tunes which is nice and works for the setting. We arrived for the lunch specials, and I got the pollo saltado. It was delicious with tender chicken and crunchy veg. Rice was cooked perfectly. The server suggested the specials of the day, and I wish I got that! My friend ordered the special, a freshly roasted pork with rice and pickled red onions, the skin was super crunchy and looked so tasty. Paid public parking in the front and back.

We stopped in for a quick lunch. The place seemed very authentic to the Cuban/Jazz enthusiast. Lots of photos of stars on the walls. The furniture all seemed new. The Cuban sandwich had great flavors, but a little on the dry side ... however the tomato sauce/salsa that was handed out with the tasty/fresh bread was delicious and immediately I knew that I made a mistake and should have ordered something more spectacular on the menu. Anyway, the sauce spread onto the bread of the sandwich gave it a nice kick and moistened it up.I definitely want to go back and order a meal !!!!!!
