This is Mexican food as fine dining. Excellent moles, good drinks. It reminds me of a LA Mexican restaurant as the food and atmosphere are more sophisticated than most local places.

I tend to not guacamole at restaurants. It's always bland and nothing like what I make at home. Cosecha, though, had very tasty guac, not quite as good as what I make but possibly the best restaurant guac I've ever had. That's worth noting.The rest of the food was quite good, too.

First you need to know how wildly popular Comal is. If you want to be seated get here early or late. Otherwise you will be waiting for a table for 90 minutes. We started off with margaritas which were good. They were smooth and not sweet. For dinner we had guacamole, chips and salsa trio, duck enchiladas, ceviche, jicama and cucumber, braised brussel sprouts with squash. For dessert we had the flan and the chocolate budin. The enchilada was room temp which we did not send back to have warmed. Actually it was our favorite dish flavor wise. The chocolate budin was good too.

Big enough for family and âCOOLâ, for couple night out, you can romance the stone! Saturday, nights are the best I heard because itâs a buffet set up! The service is ok but itâs self serve and the people are nice! The Food is great and they serve all the different Moles hot to mild Fresh flour tortillas and veggies or if you donât wonât buffet , you can always order off the menu as well! Great, place to dine and reasonable priced and the dishes are authentic Peruvian ! Thanks a million, to the FOODIEs! Peace!

The Afro-Latino seafood restaurant is the love child of Executive Chef Nelson German. His menu features signature dishes such as the peel ânâ eat shrimp drowned in romesco sauce and the Braised Angus Oxtail derived from his motherâs recipe. The ever changing menu, reflecting locally-sourced and sustainable ingredients, is made to with love to share with friends and family on any given night. This is a must try in Uptown Oakland. Chef just might make you something special off the menu.

Taking the "mood lighting" a bit too far - had to use our iPhone flashlights to see the menus. Creative, fresh cocktails were superior takes on the usual margarita medley. Mole enchiladas were sublime. Chile rellenos were delicious, though the walnut cream sauce was just a bit on the rich side. We opted to share an apple bread pudding for dessert among 4 of us, because we were stuffed!

we were delighted to discover calavera and share many wonderfully spiced and prepared dishes. service was excellent and the food was incredible! nice list of drinks that compliment. some of the best black bean frijoles and lovely tacos and ceviche. we will go back for sure!
