Reviews on Latin food in Cusco, Cusco Region, Peru. Incan majesty and Andean baroque exist side-by-side in Cusco's stone streets, epitomized by the Qoriacancha palace and the church of Santo Domingo flanking the Plaza de Armas. In this high-altitude melting pot of Amerindian and mestizo culture, you'll find extraordinary textiles, lively summer festivals and archeological wonders.

I went with a friend for a cooking class. We were perfectly picked up from our hotel, and as agreed went to the local market for some shopping after agreeing on the menu we would be cooking. We did some sightseeing on the market as well. With a taxi we all got to the restaurant and then the cooking class started. The chef José and our translator César helped preparing a full three course meal. We both agreed that we hadnât eaten this good in Peru before (even if we prepared it our selfs). The chef explained how to cut all the ingredients, prepare them in the pan and helped make sure it tasted good. Both José and César were really friendly and patient. It was a well spent afternoon and a fantastic meal.A thing to do for everybody who likes food.

We ate at many great restaurants in the Cusco to Machu Picchu areas. This restaurant stands out as far as quality, seafood and service. It has an open kitchen, good drinks & wine. We made reservations from our hotel and I glad we did. All the tables were full at 7:30 on a Monday night.

Came with my wife to the restaurant. I had the chicken coconut soup. This was the first dish in Peru that we had that left me speechless. Every bite of the dish was impressive. Do not miss out on this dish. Cesar was very kind and attentive. Great customer service and understanding of my girl not feeling well from altitude sickness and helped make her feel comfortable. Thank you Cesar. You were amazing

We were brought to this bar/restaurant by a friend who is a long time Cusco resident. The food here was excellent and all priced very reasonably. Highly recommend the Anticucho Criollas, wonderfully seasoned beef hearts that donât taste minerally or gamey at all. The Brusquetas is also an excellent platter to share with 3 or 4 âtapasâ type sliders. The slider with beef and the quail egg on top is wonderful if the thought of a runny egg doesnât make you squeamish. You can do a tasting of different types of pisco sours but the clasico itself is pretty good. They also had a live local band so you can have live music with your meal. And you know youâre in a good local dive when youâre sitting around with locals and the only tourists are in your table.Thank you for your opinion, this is very important for us. We are glad to know that you enjoyed the experience at República del Pisco. Please come back soon and don´t forget recommend us.

Ate here the other night after trying their sister restaurant Yaku. The food is absolutely delicious, all made from fresh ingredients from the sacred valley. I had the goats cheese salad, sweet potato ravioli and the passionfruit mousse. It all tasted amazing and was beautifully presented. Our waiter Fabian was extremely friendly, polite and attentive. Saw the great reviews on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a shot. And boy am I glad I did. I started off with the traditional corn soup which was absolutely delicious which used a few different local corns from the area. From there I got the Alpaca Burger which I was unsure what to expect. But delicious is an understatement. If your planning on trying local cuisines then I highly recommend this spot. Everything is fresh, local and the waitstaff is incredible. The prices are amazing for what they offer and Iâll definitely be heading back to try the other items on their menu. Thank you very much for your comment. We are flattered to know that cream and Alpaca have been his favorite dishes. The entire Yaku team works hard to provide a unique experience.
