This is exactly what Stratford needs! Warm inviting (beautifully decorated) small family-run restaurant, with great tasting and affordable food. Although they do take-out (delivery as well) I suggest sitting down at least once, it truly does feel like you are either with family or close family friends..The BBQ empanadas are my favorite.. although everything that I have ever tasted or seen (by checking out someone else's plate lol) is delicious.I wish them many years of success! FYI - the only thing missing is a glass of sangria (hopefully they will get their liquor license soon)

Opened in 1982 as a little taco shop, and now a full service Mexican restaurant with catering and food truck services. We are a corner stone in our neighborhood in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport. Check out our website for our happy hour and dinner m
This used to be THE place for mexican food. First time taking my daughter there and was excited to share the experience, unfortunately, it lacked in many area. First, we went on a Sunday afternoon and there were only 2 other tables outside. It took forever to get our drinks and even longer just to get chips and salsa. However, our meals arrived just after the drinks and chips. Would have liked some time to enjoy our drinks and the chips before eating. I ordered the nachos and substituted chicken for an extra $2. There had to be less than an ounce of chicken on the whole platter! And on top of that, it really lacked cheese! So disappointed, wish we had gone to Little Goose for Sidetrack nachos. My daughter ordered ground beef tacos. The tacos were good but they were served with 5 yucca fries which totally lacked flavor and about 1 ounce of flavorless slaw. On top of everything, our server was awful, such a disappointment. Also, when we walked out and I took a look at the menu on the wall, I discovered that they overcharged us $3 for the taco platter. However, I'd recommend them for drinks!

Authentic Mexican, sit down restaurant with full liquor license, take out and delivery service
My family really enjoys authentic Mexican food and we were very happy to find Hacienda Villa. Prices, selection, atmosphere, and service are excellent. The food is very good, and you can tell that the staff really care about customer satisfaction. We've visited several times and have never had to wait. I would definitely recommend Hacienda Villa to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price.Hi Seth F. Greetings from the team at Hacienda Villa. Thank you for being a loyal customer of us. We also would like to thank you for taking the time to write a review, we appreciate it greatly. We hope you visit us again soon.
Where to eat Diner food in Bridgeport: The Best Restaurants and Bars

All the food was good, and I'd especially recommend the arepa with cheese and chorizo, the arepa with cheese and steak, and the fried plantains (which I loved, and which seemed to be sweeter than usual based on my experiences at Colombian restaurants). Also, the service was pleasant and fast. I don't know if I'll ever be back in Bridgeport, but I'll certainly return to El Pueblito if I am.

This is really a true authentic Brazilian restaurant With a variety of foods to choose from , both American style and Brazilian. I was not particular pleased with the buffet style of service as I do not like my food exposed. I assume weighting your food is truly how they calculate the prices in their country; it's not one of my favorite ways to determine the cost. In fact it's a little deceptive because the plate is weighted as well and it's contents. The plates are somewhat on the heavy side, so you are actually paying for the weight of the plate in addition to the food.

A friend recommended this restaurant and we always like to try something new so we drove further than we normally go to eat. We were seated immediately and the service was really great the whole time with virtually no waiting! I thought the décor was great and the presentation of the food was beautiful but our meals were just average. I had the paella which had very flavorful rice but the seafood although fresh, didn't have the same flavor. Unfortunately, I am avoiding carbs so I only ate the seafood but had to add some rice to make it tastier. Also, half the mussels didn't open so I couldn't eat them. My husband got the pork loin which ok but the outside was very dry. Once he got further into it, he enjoyed it more. Maybe they were having an off night.
