Pulled in here on a whim. What a fantastic backyard....so calm and green and relaxing....wonderful garden...lots of hummingbirds....kids slide in the backyard. Was empty on a Tuesday afternoon. Awesome atmosphere and great service. Fresh strawberry juice was delicious and refreshing. However the food was so-so. Kids Arroz con pollo did not seem fresh....rice and chicken was tough. Chicken casados was pretty nice...not bad.Vegetarian plate was ok....

The service is charming and the owner welcomes guests with warmth and cordiality.

I stay down the street from here and was looking for a quick bite to eat in order to close my day with. I was greeted by very warm and friendly staff and after conversing for a little bit I was pleasantly surprised to find the place is family owned and operated. The food is well-made and appropriate to the area and the serving size is reasonable. This is the kind of place where you can look forward to getting the same type of service and same consistency each time you order food here.I would definitely come here again, thank you Ronald!

Our first time here. My family and I came in for lunch. Parking is tight, but an attendant helps you get in and out. Large open kitchen as you enter and many tables and choices. Very friendly welcome and service. Food is very good and the prices are reasonable.

This restaurant had the best food and service of all the places where we ate in Costa Rica. Family owned and always on site. Cozy, very clean, and surrounded by beautiful vegetation. Friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend the casados, a local dish
Enjoyed a lunch with cousins on a Sunday noon time. Our orders were taken quickly. Had a Papaya shake and it was delicious . We had the 7 gallos plate , make sure to share as it is huge. My favorite were the Cheese tortilla (Tortilla Aliñada) and the plantain empanadas filled with black beans. Worth the trip to the place, rustic looking and open air.

This location is pretty convenient to get to from the Juan Santamaria Airport. With it taking close to 5 hours to get through customs, we were extremely hungry by the time we were leaving the airport. We found this delicious restaurant which was not a long drive from the airport rental car facility. This location does not have their own personal parking lot, therefore you have to look for street parking if you plan on driving to this location. We were fortunate to find plenty of street parking. Due to all of our personal belongings being in the car, I was a little paranoid about having the car parked on the street. There was a local neighborhood gentleman who assisted in finding and guiding the parrallel parking process. I tipped the gentleman before heading to the restaurant hoping he would watch my car, but also requested a tip after (I guess because all her stuff was still in the car). The area seemed fine and may have been worried for no reason.Although the food may not be authentic Costa Rican food, it was very delicious. It felt like the restuarant catered more towards foreigners then locals, but it seemed like there was a mix of both. We got an order of Fish Tacos and the Boss's Favorite - they both were very excellent and highly reccomended. The homemade hot sauce definitely provided a nice kick. The owner greeted us very warmly and told us his story on how he was inspired to open the restaurant, including sharing with us his recommendations. The food came out quick so it didn't take time a tremendous time away from our long drive ahead.I expect this will be on our agenda the next time we visit Costa Rica!
