Third visit in the last three months. A good variety of typical Mexican food of the Pacific / cocteles, tacos, tostadas, agua chiles.Particulary the diferent variety of chile sauces. At 3pm Saturday and Sunday totally pack.A very friendly and Eficient service.I request Tequila Cazadores..they do not have it.And the manager said ..give just five minutes to get it.They brought to the table before that time.Wish to have in place like this in Cuernavaca,Morelos.Good service and prices very reasonable.A must if you go to Aguas and look for food of this kind.

Recommended only if you are starving. Las Antorchas is located in Aguascalientes downtown, which includes Mitla and other food courts with better taste. We tried many dishes, but all were flavorless (fajitas and enchiladas tasted like frozen food) and they use a lot of oil to cook (maybe maize or sunflower).

So every once in awhile one finds an excellent restaurant that offers unusual and original dishes. This is that place. Xoconostle which means tuna; a Mexican cactus fruit. Spacious and modern with appealing decor and oh so refreshing Jamaica and rosemary water. Freshly made huitlacoche totopos served with spicy salsa are courtesy of the house. For starters you must try the Huaraches de Tuétano and the Elopozole negro soup which is incredibly smooth, a little spicy and rich in flavor. The pato de mole negro was cooked to perfection and I could have licked the plate because it was so tender and juicy. The pulpo needs work; a little too chewy but washed down with an exceptional bottle of local Santa Elena wine. For dessert it was Texturas de atole and chocolate. Interesting, subtle and delicious. Xoconostle is probably my new favorite place because the service is excellent and the food is delicious, interesting, appealing to the eye and prepared with ingredients that are not your typical Mexican cuisine.

Empanadas, Ensaladas, Pastas y Cortes tipo argentino acompañados por Vino de Mesa
We dined at the Garufa restaurant in the north of town. From the outside this place looks somehow elegant, upper class. Its interior is much cozier and relaxed. Small square tables are packed in the non-smoking area, in front of the bar. The smoking area, instead, seemed to have room between seats. It might take a while for them to come to your table and get your first order. I read reviews that commented on the slow service. I would kind of agree. However, it didnât cross the point of disappointment. The menu is confusing as this is an Argentinian statehouse, but Italian dishes are claimed in the menu. However, donât get distracted and just ask for meat. This is where the true magic of this place is. I had a 600g rib-eye and it was cooked just perfectly. The meat is tasty and juicy. It comes with a side of grilled onions and chilly peppers, which are seriously hot. Be aware!

The food here is fabulous! The pork Yucatan was perfect and so tender. The lime soup was great also. Unfortunately, they brought by associate the wrong meal, and then told him that pork was chicken. Obviously taking advantage of the fact that he doesn't speak Spanish. They never came back to bring another drink or check on us, and then took a solid 45 minutes to bring our bill.

Went to their new location in Bosques. Terrible food, they are cutting corners and trying to save money. No decent chef would cook the garbage they serve: garlic mushrooms that came out of... a can! Boiled veggies that are the ones you get at Sams Club, and the fries were also the pre-packed ones. Really? Your chef can't even cook some decent french fries? I am not in a Mc Donalds!Oh, but the prices are ridiculously high and the service is lousy. And you even have to pay the valet, since they don't even offer free parking!

Best traditional breakfast in the city. Everything here is super homemade from fresh tortillas, to juices, to their complimentary pan dulces. Their breakfast menu is very egg-centric and they serve great omelettes and chilaquiles. Their cafe de olla is out of this world. The place is huge, but there is usually a wait (especially on weekends) so getting there as early as possible is recommended. This is a great place to come with a large group. The location is perfect - in the main plaza of El Encino - can't get much better than that.
