N36°31.848' E127°49.339' In the Boeun-gun area near Beopjusa temple, this restaurant is hard to find. Towards the temple two junctions before the fire department and police station, take a right turn. It is in the parallel street on the right side of the main street. The restaurant is painted orange and is famous for savoury pancakes. Those pancakes along the usual gimchi side dishes were excellent. Returning the next day, Chanunul was closed. We expected this, because we were the only guests in August 2014.

CY ( 2014.06.22 )I and my wife visited this restaurant after visiting Sokrisan mountain. This restaurant located a front of entrance of Sokrisan national park. There was a many restaurant open, but we chose this restaurant because this restaurant was famous for grilled deodeok root. The restaurant's atmosphere was so-so, but food was very delicious and side-dish was very various. We enjoyed this food pleasantly. Good grilled deodeok root.

N36°31.889 E127°49.320 Chanumul restaurant was closed and we liked their pancakes so much we went searching for another restaurant on the Main Street of Songnisan NP. This opened the opportunity for disappointment. Esokri restaurant offered in August 2014 pancakes and we decided on mushroom green-bean pancake and potato pancake. These pancakes did not compete with the Chanumul pancakes. They lacked taste, were too greasy and were clearly second choice. Go to Chanumul when they are open.
