Have been craving sushi since I arrived to Hokkaido. Maybe because itâs low season(?), all the sushi restaurants in Abashiri were closed this morning. Finally, we found this great place in Kawayu. Sushi, tempura and sake in a cozy environment. What else can you ask for!
Somehow on the medium-expensive side, this soup curry restaurant and cafe is very well furnished and has a nice atmosphere . The soup curry was delicious but not expect big portions! The shop is part of a music and clothing shop and has a very relaxed ad friendly atmosphere. They serve Shiga Kogen beer and other craft beer highlights like Brewdog (uk) which I bet is hard to find in Hokkaido. The interior is a rustical with lot of old posters and vinyl records. So it is a bit of a gem in an area where there are not many cafes around.

Although little English is spoken, the owners were nice and friendly. their huge Zangi (fried chicken) was delicious and unique to others in the area we've tried. everything we ordered was delicious and also inexpensive.

They offer only six or seven very simple soba (buckwheat) noodle dishes. Quite commonly we see soba noodle with some toppings, but Soba Doraku doesn't come up with anything meaningful. I guess they try to make us enjoy their soba noodle itself.Service was slow. Though it didn't look busy, we had to wait for about 20 minutes for two simple "zaru soba" and "kake soba." Was their soba good? Not really.

Nice prawn tempura noodle and rice 1450 yen, a short-stop between cities just right besides the main road! Better than expected local eat place!

Here after we visited the sulphur spring, this place offers one of the best Tunas that I have eaten so far! Ambience: 4.5/5Cleanliness: 4/5Customer Service: 4/5Quality of Food: 5/5Value for Money: 4/5Our OrdersJapanese Hotpot Set: 4.5/5Tempura Set: 3.5/5Tuna Sashimi: 5/5 - Must try!!!The Good: Tuna Sashimi! I know we keep talking about it, but if anything, please stop by here to try it! The Chef takes away all the frills, and just allow the quality of the tuna and taste of the tuna to stand out by itself! The hotpot soup is also very wholesome, especially for anyone looking to eat some vegetables after a lot of meaty stuff around the area. We love the lake with swans too!The Bad: Cleanliness can be further improved overall, otherwise it's quite an excellent place with a great ambience!Bottom Line: We would recommend this place for the Tuna Sashimi alone, especially for cold weathers around Hokkaido, to come and just enjoy the meal!

We arrived in this place and there was no menu in English, but no problem, the waitress was so nice and helped us a lot. We took the speciality, some potatoes fried, which are really good. Plus mushrooms and yakitori, everything was excellent. The sake also, that was suggested to us by the waitress. The place is like a cosy bar, everything made in an old wood and this gives a very nice atmosphere. The music is jazzy and of very good quality (which is very hard to find in Hokkaido...) Was like being in heaven for the night.

This was the 3rd round we travel to Japan, so far Teshikaga ramen was one of the very best ramen ever. Ramen here was very different from the one we had in Osaka & Tokyo. We felt very happy to choose this restaurant for our dinner & enjoy dining experience here. Chef was so cute & friendly, recommend & take order for us. We order å¼åå±å³å900Â¥, é±¼ä»é ±æ²¹800Â¥ & gyoza 5pcs 260Â¥, price was so reasonable. Both the soup was so yummy, if you only can order one ramen then å¼åå±å³å must be the 1st choice.Definitely will recommended my friends who come to Teshikaga, please don't miss this restaurant if you are somewhere around.Ps. A drug shop a few steps away the service very very good, very patient to recommend product & help me in what I need. Thanks for the vote if you found this helpful :DThank you very much for your coming. We're working by the environment that special Ramen can be made.In other words, there is nature which is here and abundant in a store in the neighborhood. So Ramen are being made using the vegetables into which I grew and stockbreeding items.I'm wishing able to come to the store of the 4th time of Nippon Travel . and us.
