Parking is sufficient. Property is clean. Greeting upon entering was friendly. Menu is varied. Service is strong. Food is fresh, though presentation is weak. Had an appetizer called heart attack or heartburn that was outstanding. The Miso soup was good as was the entree. Pricing is reasonable, would say it is a good value!!!

Didn't expect such great sushi in Tehachapi! Authentic, some favorites and unique rolls too. Not cheap, big city prices but big city excellence too. Only bad thing was they had the right-wing Laura Ingrahm opinion show on at the bar TV - knocked off a star for not being bipartisan & insensitive to customers.

For several years, this has been our go-to sushi restaurant. We typically have eaten here about once a week. The servers have been delightful smiling ladies, if a bit language-challenged. Our usual orders have been consistently excellent.Sadly, our visit yesterday had mixed results. The servers were different - nice enough, but lacking the sort of gracious extra-polite attention we used to receive. A spicy salmon roll was very good, the bowls of fried rice were as good as ever, but a half-dragon roll had hard stale-tasting rice and the toppings were little tiny slivers of ingredients that didn't taste very fresh.Maybe we hit a day before their fish deliveries were made, and we will not give up on it yet, but this was the first sort of disappointing visit to Ichiban in more than four years of steady patronage.
