We came here for dinner twice whilst staying at the resort. The food, service and atmosphere were incredible. We booked Teppanyaki for the second night, and would highly recommend doing so - what an experience. We chose the 'Akane' set menu - highlights were the chicken thigh (perfectly cooked), and the pumpkin miso custard. We don't eat rice, so they happily allowed us to swap our fried rice for edamame. The chef was very friendly and skilled, and our waitress was wonderful. The food was out of this world. Will definitely be back. Thank you!Dear TheSaucies, Thank you for your great review! After finding this restaurant down a little arcade we sat down to be greeted by two of the loveliest smiling waitresses. We ordered a number of yakitoriâs and all were excellent (we went back for seconds on the chicken skin and pork belly and lotus chips), food was fantastic. Restaurant is byo wine only and a cooler bag is provided. Beer on tap and in bottles available. As we were about to leave one of the waitresses presented our daughter with two beautiful origami done with stunning traditional Japanese paper. Already planning our next visit.

Generally speaking the food is very good and reasonably priced. However the overall experience it is tainted by the "rules" and there are a number of them and look out if you breach any eg pouring with rain last Wednesday evening and sitting outside one of our chairs for our guests got saturated so we swapped it with another empty table next to us. One of the male chefs almost ran out of the restaurant and told us off for moving the furniture and we had to put it back. So our guest had a wet chair and the table next door for 8 people only had 2 people at it all evening. There are also a couple of things I think people expect in a restaurant as well these days. The serviettes are the tiniest, thinnest little things that you have ever seen and completely inadequate for eating anything with eg soy sauce. Look out if you ask for another serviette as another rule is 1 serviette per person. And on the wine glasses. They need to be bigger as there is nothing worse than drinking wine red or white out of a glass that is not much bigger than a port glass. They do have about 4 bigger glasses that we asked if we could use but no another rule is that they can only be used for cocktails. The cocktail glasses as you would expect were not used so after last week's attitude we have had enough. Such a shame.

Four of us decided to dine here (bookings essential) on Saturday night. They have two set menus for two or more people. ($75 or $90 per person) They actually let two of us pick one set menu and the other two picked the other menu. The food was amazing and plenty of it. They also have a huge range of Japanese whiskies. We had a visitor from down south - Melbourne, and we always bring visitors here.Edgar is always welcoming and Gavin is usually our chef. The soup is hot and delicious, the salad has the most amazing dressing - would love to steal it. The meat is always cooked as requested. Sauces yummo. The show is entertaining, and the service from the girls is top notch. The chefs are artists with salt on the hot plate at the end of the meal. Just wait. It's amazing. It is licenced and BYO wine, which I love. For the price and variety I love visiting here for lunch.In fact, I have booked my sisters 50th in the next few weeks.

Loved this place. The food was really really good, and the service was outstanding, from the Manager to every single staff that served us. It was a total surprise as we made a last minute decision to eat out (try to book if possible, its really popular and we were very lucky to get a table), but it turned out to be one of the most memorable meals of the holiday.
