We arrived after a couple of hours on the nakasendo trail and were very pleased to find this coffee shop.The couple running the cafe were friendly and charming, preparing everything in front of us. Their two poodles were also so cute.We had wonderful Darjeeling, the apple tart and the cheesecake, all beautiful.A lovely place to stop!

Great place, great food. A very very very beautiful building in the center of Narai. The restaurant is run by a pittoresque old couple that are constantly running up and down and chatting to everyone, of course in Japanese :-) Really recommended!

テレビのケンミンショーでやっていたのをみて、あの山賊焼きを食べたくて行ってみました。テレビではものすごいニンニクが入っているみたいな紹介でしたが、実際に食べてみるとそれほどではなくてかなりさっぱりしていました。ボリュームも、ハワイのステーキと比べると標準かなぁと思ってしまうのは感覚がおかしくなっているからかもしれません。ただし一つだけ気になる点がありました。店内は喫煙OKなのですが、せき込むほどに煙が蔓延していて子供は連れてきたくない環境でした。

I wanted to have coffee and goheimochi (a local specialty) in Narai during my stay and found this restaurant/cafe to be the most affordable. The place itself is very rustic and charming, with low tables, tatami mats, good lighting and a central fireplace. The coffee set that I ordered was very elegantly served -- in a wooden tray with pickles on the side. It was the most elegant and affordable coffee set I had in my trip. The owner even provided me with all the tourist pamphlets that he had and was very accommodating. A must in Narai!

登山で松本に宿泊したときに利用しました。車でしたので、松本市郊外でも問題なく利用できました。駐車場はもちろんあります。「上天せいろ」を注文しました。車エビ、大葉、舞茸、シシトウほかの天ぷらに二八蕎麦です。揚げたての天ぷらと茹でたてのそばが美味しくいただけました。そばの喉越しの良さが際立っています。つけ汁は濃い目のものですが、少ないときは足してくれます。そば湯も風味の強いものです。最後まで楽しんで食事できました。
