Seaside (formerly East Monterey) is a city in Monterey County, California, United States, with a population of 33,025 as of the 2010 census. Seaside is located 2.25 miles (3.6 km) east-northeast of Monterey, at an elevation of 33 feet (10 m). Seaside is the home of California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) and the Monterey College of Law, which are located on the site of the former military base Fort Ord. There you will find the Bayonet and Black Horse golf courses, once also part of the Fort Ord military base, now open to the public, and host to PGA Tour events, including the 2012 PGA Professional National Championship. Seaside is also the gateway to the Fort Ord National Monument Park, created on April 20, 2012. It has a rich history, diverse habitat, bountiful recreation opportunities, and helps protect and manage 83 miles of trails and over 44 species of plants and animals.

Our family has enjoyed numerous birthday celebrations throughout the years at Sapporo, both inside the main dining room as well as in the festive Hibachi Room. While dining at a table, typically sharing seating with more than your party, Hibachi prepared food is a culinary and artistic experience where the Chef prepares your meals on a hot griddle, which is an extension of the table. Entertaining, artful food preparation, humor, tricks and explosive fires will delight and amaze all eagerly watching, resulting in laughter, camaraderie and a memorable, festive dining experience. If it is your birthday celebration, you will be serenaded by the staff, much to your embarrassment or delight. This is a fun adventure and the delicious resulting meal makes this a must do! Try to gaze up from the table to appreciate the marvelous views of the Harbor and Monterey Bay.

Ok the place is ordinary. Ok it seemed empty. But the service was excellent, and the food was very good. Not perfect but did the job and the portion were good. Took the box, beef and some sushi Philadelphia. All was good. Thanks

This restaurant represents a relatively new chain of poke restaurants. You pick the fish and rice that you want and then add different sauces and additional ingredients - veggies, etc. Fish selection was very small compared to other place I visited in the past. Prices are very reasonable.

What a great place! We had fried oysters, guyoza (sorry for misspelling), sashimi 14 pieces, Udon with beef, Ramen and 2 glasses of wine for 108 dollars, very reasonable. W we were full and very satisfied. Food was very fresh, high quality and delicious. We'll be back.

We had good sushi & service walking distance to our hotel. We werenât starving so found this place out of convenience thru Trip Advisor.Food & service was good, 5 min wait. Lacked decor as 1 un-inspired room but satisfied what we needed, just a light dinner.

Decent quality, decent price. Nothing will wow you, but nothing will disappoint you either. Pretty much what you would expect from your local hole in the wall sushi spot. Thereâs also an all Asian market next door. $6 for your basic California Rolls $12-14 for Specialty RollsThere was 3 of us. $108 was our total for 5 rolls (pictured) 1 pitcher of beer1 large sake 3 miso soupsService was good, place was clean, parking wasnât a problem.

Sushi Time used to be one of our âgo toâ locations for a satisfying meal at lunch or dinner. This is no longer the case. Since the owners opened up another restaurant in town they seem to be no longer paying attention to Sushi Time. Service, which was always brisk but professional, is now horrible. The cashierâs attitude is invariably nasty. Who needs that when going out for what should be a pleasant experience?Theyâve also switched seafood suppliers and quality has taken a nosedive. Sushi used to be consistently fresh and delicious. Now Iâve gotten several orders at Sushi Time with fish that looks and smells old. Iâve ordered Teriyaki that arrived with an âoffâ taste and rice that was over cooked. No thanks. Iâd suggest Harumi or Crystal Fish for those who are looking for a fresh and healthy meal. Sushi Time is now off our list for good.
