Reviews on Japanese food in San Jose, Province of San Jose, Costa Rica. Vibrant and packed with Victorian mansions, Costa Rica's rowdy, bustling capital was built on the profits of the coffee trade and working "golden bean" plantations still surround the city. Try freshly roasted local beans at Mercado Central. For shinier gold, visit the Museo del Oro. Many renovated landmarks now house stylish hotels. Usually viewed as a hub, rather than a destination, nightlife is concentrated in Spanish village-inspired El Pueblo. Don't miss the elegant 1897 National Theater.

Our mission is to serve delicious, healthy food in an environment that is conducive to sharing and caring. We believe that food should nourish us physically, emotionally and spiritually. Our dishes are inspired from Asian countries: Thailand, Japan, India
This is a phenomenally creative, Asian fusion restaurant. We were a large group reserving a banquet room and enjoying a varied prix fixe selection we had arranged in advance. Numerous dietary restrictions were thoughtfully accommodated and the dishes were bright, fresh, original, and delicious. The service was perfect. To top off a wonderful experience, the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated -- worth a walk around to see what's been done.

i made a reservation for a Teppanyaki table for celebrating my sister´s birthday, we were 3.The good: Staff is friendly and kind (loved them) and place is nice. The no so good: Food (teppanyaki) its just ok, for that price we were expecting so much more. Part of the all experience is the "show" you get from your cook. So he threw a couple of knives at the beggining and then nothing, just some guy cooking in front of us. He talked to us and ask for allergies and preferences but that was pretty much it. We got: sirloin, shrimps and salmon. Hard to believe the best part was the fried rice.Dessert was really good tho.Food is expensive and just ok (paid near 150$ for 3 teppanyaki plates and 3 sodas). Won´t return to the teppanyaki tableDear adriv2013:Thank you very much for your time and for sharing with us your experience at our Restaurant. It is so valuable for us to know your feelings. We will check every detail as you mencioned. Once again thank you for visit us.Kind regards,Fuji Restaurant

Don Wang Restaurant is a quiet, special to do business or share with family or friends business. Covering more than 26 years in the market. Nice atmosphere and soft music, so that diners can talk quietly while enjoying your meal. Chinese food gourmet deli
Having lived in Hong Kong (with several visits thereafter), itâs certainly difficult to find a restaurant outside of HK that captures the full âCantoneseâ food taste experience (albeit there are excellent ones in London, San Francisco, New York, Hawaii, etc.).As a visitor from Central Europe (havenât found any real good HK style food there), Don Wang was surely a great treat. The freshness of the dim sums distinctly induced an elevated mouth-watering experience. We tried around 8-9 different kinds, and they werenât in any way sparse with the fillings. We also had five different main dishes (beef, chicken, noodles, tofu) â dishes that we normally order at a HK restaurant. All were very fresh and tasty, but sadly a couple of them were too oily, though there were a couple of dishes that did remind us of HK food. The staff was very attentive and friendly â a pleasant experience indeed.

It' a nice place, waitresses and waiters are kind, a good view of the hills in the nearby. In summary, a great experience. Something happens with in the kitchen. They take too time to prepare the food. If they corrected that aspect, my rate would be Excellent.

El Restaurante Okami fue concebido bajo la idea de ofrecer lo mejor de la comida japonesa a precios razonables, brindando la mejor calidad del mercado.
Location: Small place, just 4 parking spots but there is a public parking in the north block.Very good menu: soups, rices, salmon, meat, chicken, sushi. The salmon teriyaki and the rainbow rolls are good options.Very good price for a japanese, like $20-$25 per person. Is not the best Japanese of San Jose, but price/quality is the best.
