After desperately seeking for some restaurants in Prague serving ramen, and dismissing the top 4-5 and sponsored searches, which seemed to evolved around one particular ramen place near Mustek, we oped for going out of town to its suburbs.In Pruhonice, we easily found Tamura, looking forward to a bowl of warm, hearty ramen.There were no guests in this rather small place in a slightly obsolete building - possibly a former hotel, except the Japanese chef and a Czech waitress (looking rather like a school canteen or a village pub worker). Not particularly keen, either.The menu, presented like in some cheaper Chinese buffets, depicted the food and description, so you knew what you were getting into.Still, what we got, were two boiling bowls of smoyu ramen and kake udon - almost identical in ingredients, colour and smell.The ramen was the plainest, simplest ramen I've seen - noodles like from "vifon" instant noodle soup, a small slice of pork, and some spinach leaves in a coloured water. Udon was even plainer - undercooked udon noodles, soy water and several leaves of spinach. For 190 and 150 crowns respectively, this was a rip-off. Has second thought about it, should have opted for some japanese curry, at some 80-100 czk, which , at least in the pictures, seemed more filling and rich of a meal.The ambience was underlined by Radio Blanik "hits", and the interior was trying hard to look different from those cheap chinese restaurants, but failed to.Despite the small premises, the whole place felt rather cold, and the silence with background radio humming was disrupted by shuffling of the waitresses' feet.Despite this all, I still feel temped to give their sushi and curry a try, but the ambience, the overall atmosphere, the approach and the bland experience tells me not to.

We visited for a dinner and had a very good experience. The food was excellent and there was a lot to choose from, service was good and overall it was a great value for money. There is also a big parking area just next to the restaurant.

A newly opened restaurant with a unique food experience offer and ordering, great selection of sushi and other dishes, pleasant personnel and good parking nearby.Near the bus stop Veronske Namesti in Mecholupy.
