I have had Sushi around the world, including Japan and can honestly say Wasabi has great sushi! This has become our regular spot for sushi. Their fish is always fresh, which is a real surprise for the Mid-west. We love the Coconut Gigolo $14, California Roll $4, and Tuna Rolls $3.50. We have tried most of the special rolls $12-$14 and have not had a bad one yet. We like the Rock Rd location for better service, but like the downtown location for ambiance better. Good for a quick snack or meal.

We were visiting in Wichita and decided Japanese food sounded good and picked this restaurant because of the trip advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. I have eaten at a lot of Japanese restaurants all over the country and I would definitely put this one near the top of my list. The food was phenomenal. The serving sizes were excellent. The waitress and the chef did a great job and made the evening very fun. The vegetables were very fresh and cooked perfectly. He even cooked some extra vegetables and gave us some more when he saw that everyone was eating all of theirs. I have never had that happen. I had chicken but tried my friendâs steak and scallops and all tasted very fresh and were just the perfect temperature. They had a great liquor menu as well that was very diverse. I would highly recommend.WOW! Thanks for all the kind words! The staff loves the recognition!

Samurai has become a family favorite from the 5-year old to the adults. The most expensive item on the menu, the Jo Jo Combo, I think is $15 and most item are well under $10. Shrimp, scallops, steak, crab rangoon, and the fried rice are all terrific. The fried rice is especially great. This is not a high end place, but a great value working stiff, college student kind of place. Be sure to use the chili sauce.
