It had been some time since Iâve eaten here but wow was it disappointing. My husband had the Ramen noodles, there was little flavor and the cold egg...yuk. I had the Ladna, that was one of the most visually unappealing meals Iâve ever had. The sauce, which is called gravy, on the menu was thicken with cornstarch and was an awful grey color. The wide noodles were more like fiat dumplings. It was supposed to have vegetables, 2 pieces of broccoli, a pice of cauliflower, a few slices of carrots very stingy on the veggies. I will say the shrimp and the flavor was ok but not like it used to be. So we finish up and good grief it takes forever to get our check cashed out because of course there is only the one guy, probably the owner, to run the register and he was off in the kitchen, in flip flops I might add (big fat no no in the food industry). I used to love the place but after my last meal there I have no good reason to go back... there are way to many good restaurants in palm Coast...

We have just returned to the area after several years and have checking checking out some of our favorite restaurants. Although not high on our list Sakura we did find Sakura above average for sushi in the area. Sadly that is no longer true. Cannot comment on the steakhouse side but the sushi is truly a disappointment. My salad was soaked in dressing, I had the 16 piece sashimi which was four slices of 4 different type of fish. All four had a poor taste. Even the saki was of cheap quality. So I would most assuredly skip the sushi side of this resturant.

Kawa is tucked away, unassumingly, in a strip mall. The reviews were good and we were hankering for some sushi. The restaurant was clean and inviting with a huge fish tank. We didn't see the lion fish. Maybe somebody cooked him up?Seating was prompt and our drink orders taken.Hot brewed green tea? Most places serve hot water and a tea bag. Kudos to Kawa on the tea.We ordered the Sushi & Sashimi for 2 which included miso soup or salad. We went for the miso, which was very tasty, no too salty with bits of tofu and nori. The sashimi was fresh, temperature correct, and garnished correctly. Two rolls were included, spicy tuna and chef's special. The tuna roll was surprisingly different. Good and spicy with a nice, pungent hit of tuna. For Palm Coast, Kawa is excellent. We will definitely visit again.

7 of us stopped for lunch after seeing a movie at the nearby movie theater, and had a super meal. Everyone else had one of the combo meals that came with a salad. A good choice of options from beef, scallops, shrimp, pork cooked with veggies and noodles to sashimi. Everyone loved their choices, and the portions were large enough to get two meals out of them.I ordered a double salmon roll and salmon Katsu roll. The plating was gorgeous, but I was hungry and did not think of taking a pic until I only had a few bites left. The double salmon roll was amazingly fresh and flavorful. The salmon Katsu roll was heaven. A light and crunchy batter on the outside with a combo of salmon, avocado and cheese on the inside. Barely flash fried. Accompanied by the freshest Wasabi that Iâd had in a while, and a row of the thinnest cucumber slices standing in their edges. How did they do that?Friendly and speedy service. Super clean and comfy interior, and very good prices. I will be back.

We have visited here for several years and the standard of the sushi here never falls. Freshly made and extremely tasty, this little sushi bar tucked away above Delfino's is a real gem. The only thing is 1 - you cannot book, I don't think, so have to take your chances and 2 - it has a dark indoor setting which isn't always terribly inspiring. That said, in that respect it is rather like a lot of places I have been to in Tokyo! Shrimp tempura went down extremely well with all the family, together with the dumplings. We had a selection of umami including a really tasty chicken teriyaki roll - a bit of fusion there - which was yummy. Cali rolls, volcano and tuna were all great. Recommended.

When Sushi 99 opened in Palm Coast we loved going there. Each plate came out looking lovely. Carrots cut like flowers and food nicely arranged. Yesterday we went for lunch and that same item we ordered at another time came out in a black soup bowl with little garnish. Very drab to look at. The 3 rolls we ordered were very plain. Just fish rice and seaweed. Such a shame. We wonât be returning as we didnât either one enjoy the experience. And food needs to be experienced

This restaurant is a must visit. The food and service are outstanding. It is a real comfortable place. This was our first visit. My wife, myself and a friend from Binghamton, New York went there for dinner last night. I was told by friends in the area that this was a great place if you like Japanese food. There were right on... I had a California Roll and it was excellent. They have a wide variety of Sushi. Our entrees were excellent. Our waiter was outstanding. The place has a nice atmosphere and it was very clean. The food was fairly priced. This is a must visit in Palm Coast
