A new Asian/Chinese restaurant with an entrance between Table Talk and Street One. Very nicely done up with outdoor balcony and indoor seating. The food was a lot more authentic with less garlic and chilli than is usual in Pakistan. At lunch time I had the Nom Nom Soup and Cantonese Chicken with Stir Fry Veg and they were the best Chinese I have had in Pakistan. The restaurant was busy but they managed OK. Pleasant staff and environment. The Proprietor was there overseeing things.

At Walking distance from my company guest house, Ginyaki is the best option i always have for lunch or dinner. Food is very good and so is the serving size and style. You have good number of combinations available with Chicken, Beef and Seafood. Soups are not bad either to start with. Its a must try in Islamabad.

A truly authentic Japenese Restaurant. As you dine with us you will not only savour the sumptous flavour but also the spectacular design that actually makes you feel that you are actually in Japan. Sakura is made to capture your heart and soul imagination
Dined twice at Sakura at a recent stay at Marriott Islamabad. Managed to try a few dishes and I found that food is generally pretty good. While it wasnât 100% authentic Japanese, the flavours were close enough. Whatâs most important is the food handling as raw fish that isnât fresh could give one a bad tummy upset. The restaurant is a wee bit too cold and decor was simplistic. Comments on the dishes as follows: - Tuna nigiri and assorted sushi platter was very nice. No complaints at all and I happily gobbled down the whole lot- nabeyaki or seafood udon wasnât great. It was acceptable but no where near authentic an udon- the salmon tataki or seared salmon was an extreme letdown. It wasnât seared properly, the salmon was breaking apart and it should not have been swimming in a pool of sauce- stir fried beef wasnât the best either as it was a bit too sweet for meThe reason why I gave Sakura 4 stars is mainly attributed to itâs good handling of sushi/sashimi. Also, this is Pakistan and it isnât easy to find a place that serves decent sushi or sashimi. Unfortunately, the rest of the dishes werenât great.
