We had lunch here while running some errands in the neighborhood. You can't tell much about the restaurant from the outside. Once you do walk in, the restaurant is nicely laid out, welcoming and clean. The staff was very attentive and the service quick. The food itself was average, neither good nor bad.One of us had the Sushi & Sashimi lunch and the other had the tempura shrimp bento. The miso soup was a little too watered down for our taste, with seaweed that was overly chewy. The tempura was quite heavy and slightly undercooked (it was not fully cooked on the inside of the batter), the sushi & sashimi were not bad but they could have shown a little more variety (the same fish was used for both the sushi as well as the sashimi). All told, I doubt that we would specifically choose to return here, but we would return if friends wanted to go there.

Over the past several years, we have stopped at Mikado for a sushi fix on our way to the Jersey Shore. We typically go off-hours (late afternoon), so for us it's never crowded, and the service is pretty snappy. This time we took daughters and boyfriends. We started with edamame and gyoza, followed by a series of rolls. The rolls are pretty good and nice sized. The flavors are also good and the fish tastes fresh. Nothing fancy, but solid, consistent food.

We had some appetizers here and a fish (ocean) hibachi. While the hibachi could have been much better (the fish and the service), the sexy jalapeño app was AMAZING! The unagi/avacado app was very unique and pretty good.We would go back for the jalapeño alone!

The food was OK but the service was the most terrible I ever had. The waitress was borderline rude: she NEVER smiled or addressed us, looked us in the eyes or offered us anything. While serving the dishes, she threw plates on the table so forcefully that pieces of teriyaki chicken slided from the plate onto the table, she did not pick them up or offered any apologies. She pored hot tea partially on the table ( thanks God not on our hands). We tried not to allow this to spoil our mood and even left her 11% tip, though she obviously did not deserve any. We will definitely avoid this place for a long time.

The sushi was much better than I thought it was going to be. For an all you can eat, they had everything. We got eel & white tuna which are usually not at all you can eat places. We got a pink lady roll which was delicious. They have 15 different kinds of sushi, 24 different hand rolls, & 13 different specialty rolls. You can also get a lot of different noodle dishes & hibachi dishes. Worth a visit. Good job to the staff.

I prefer ordering what I want. But the fun of sitting and being entertained while the good is prepared has value.

excellent sushi, seared tuna mango salsa is amazing delicious, spicy kani salad is different from other restaurant so tasty. All the rolls we ordered are great as well.it is located in a small strip mall and very easy to miss it. When we were there only two tables in the restaurant. Although, it is a small restaurant, we really enjoy the sushi. We will be back soon.
