Visited Sushi Kaji in January 2019. This is an authentic Japanese restaurant, not too far from YYZ airport. If you are near the airport and have craving for Japanese, this is a good option. Sat at sushi bar for omakase. A lot appetizers before sushi. By the time sushi started to come, I was already full. Be sure to bring good appetite. Atmosphere is casual, although pricing is fine dining.

Busy place on a Tuesday afternoon! We knew we were in for a treat based on the number of people, especially university students. We decided to order donburi (meat and rice bowls) instead of ramen, and it was plentiful and tasty as well as very authentic Japanese style. The ramen dishes looked delicious- we'll be going back to try them out!

My husband and I and another couple had dinner at Sushi-Ya and we were all delighted with our choices. I do NOT eat sushi but the others do and they all commented on the freshness and good flavor. I got the salad and the beef teriyaki.. the salad had a light flavorful dressing and the teriyaki was superb - the sauce was not sweet, the beef was tender and the vegetables crisp. Prices were reasonable for what you got and the service was good. I would certainly go back if we ever return to Toronto.
