When Valentines Day and Ash Wednesday are the same day, a Sushi fix is in order. This last week we were also due for our quarterly sushi night out.Although it was fairly crowded with everyone else looking for an appropriate Valentines /Ash Wednesday palce, at about 7:45 pm we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a booth. People were still coming in when we finally left at about 8:30.This trip was my wife and I and our teenage daughter. For three of us we shared our favorite Ocean salad, a special "Hope" roll ( don't remember what was in it but it was good), and several pieces of tuna, salmon, and octopus sushi. The octopus had to be the biggest pieces I have ever had ( about 4inches long by about 1 inch wide). We were still a little hungry so we ordered a vegetable tempura after all the sushi.A couple large Kirin beers helped round out the whole day.
I have eaten at Tchoupstix before but usually had the sushi. This time I was looking for something different and ordered the pork and greens ramen. It was an incredible fusion of Asian sauce and southern greens. The favor was amazing and the grilled pork was very tasty. My favorite appetizer is the salmon moo shoo. Again something you usually donât see together. The sushi is good here but you should try some of their more adventurous creations.

There is not a finer business owner than Twin - she cares, she is dedicated, she will make it right if it isn't and I would be surprised if you would ever need her to redo something for you. She made a sushi lover out of my son and his friends at a young age and as adults they continue to go there. Just a fine woman with a fine business. There is nothing we don't like here - and there is nowhere we will go for sushi locally other than here. It is a small place but they turn over their tables quickly. They do have a bar as well. The wait staff is equally as wonderful. Place is clean and this is not a "formal" restaurant - wonderful ambience for the type of place it is.

We had a get $10 off if you spend $50 coupon and used it last night for a Good Friday fish dinner. This place is in a strip center on the west side of Highway 21 (just north of the Winn- Dixie). It has a Sushi bar, sit down tables, and 4 sections of Hibachi grills that each seat about 8 to 10 people. To start off, we had several pieces of tuna, salmon and Octopus Sushi that were good. They brought me some kind of special Wasabi mix ( a little chunky, good, but 5 alarm nuclear - so be careful if you get this). For our Hibachi entrees we had scallops and shrimp, all very good. The guy who did the cooking was excellent and very entertaining. The couple of large Kirin-Ichiban beers didn't hurt either. There were plenty of younger kids in the place (seeming to enjoy it) so don't be afraid to bring your whole family.
