The natural river eel distinguishes itself with its firm texture and fresh taste, two critical attributes simply not found in frozen and farmed varieties. The deep fried river shrimps and eel bones are worth checking out. Deep fried hairy crabs are also available in the Autumn.

This restaurant is well known for the Shimanto unagi rice. Just 10 minutes walk from Nakamura station, you will be served with delicious rice with whole unagi on top of it. The unagi there is one of the best I've ever tried. Price is fair. After meal, there is a market nearby selling goods from the town. It is really a great experience.

22時頃に入店しましたが快く受け入れていただきました。私たちの入店後もまだまだお客様入られる人気店です。鮮度が良いお魚を美味しくいただくことができ、満足です。店員さんの対応も良いお店でした。

四万十川を上流に向かう途中に「大正」という地名の所があり交差点に「道の駅四万十大正」があります。素朴な純和風な造りの建物に、ここら辺の情報も置いてあり、地元の野菜をたくさん売っています。食堂では定食を味わえます。四万十川は天然うなぎや四万十のり、清流の鮎などで有名なところ。あいにく時間がなくここで定食はあじわう時間がなくソフトクリームをいただきました。乳酸菌入りのヨーグルトテイストのソフトでぼんやりと川を眺めながらいただきました。立ち寄るのに最適な場所でした。

This was the best meal we had at any restaurant in Japan for three weeks. On a recommendation from the hosts of our accommodation we went to Chika and were absolutely thrilled. We tried their seared bonito, mackerel specialty, fried prawns, and many more delicious dishes. Our children were very well looked after and even got to try out the pulley tray that came up from the kitchen through the restaurant to the second floor. The owner was very generous and we will never forget the wonderful evening we had here. Value was exceptional.

国道56号線の「土佐佐賀駅」から街へ少し入ったところにお店があります。街の人が普通に利用できる食堂兼、居酒屋です。定食類は非常にリーズナブルなお値段でボリュームのある食事ができます。庶民的な食事をしたい方にはお勧めです。漁港も近いので海でとれるお魚も豊富です。お店の「お勧めメニュー」もありますので、注意深く確認してみましよう。きっと満足できると思います。

とってもいいお店でした。一品３００円くらいから１，０００円くらいの価格帯でしたが、どれもこれも美味しい！名物は焼き鯖寿司のようです。個室もあっておしゃべりも弾むし、地元の方々で賑わっているようでした。帰り際もお店の方々がとても感じ良く見送ってくださいました。黒潮町に行く際はぜひ行ってほしいお店です。次の高知旅行でもぜったい行きます！

民芸調の店構えで店内はフローリングになっていて入口で靴を脱いで上がるタイプの店です。ウッディなインテリアで落ち着きがあります。観光客のみならず地元客にも人気のようで３世代家族がうどんを食べに来ていました。量は比較的少なめに感じたので、うどん一杯だけでは腹は満たされませんでした。

高知に行くたびにたいてい寄るのがこちらの店。黒潮町（旧佐賀町）の港にある食事処です。地元のオバちゃんたちが店を切り盛りしています。タタキは店先で藁で焼くこともあり、こちらが観光客だとわかれば藁焼きの実演をさせてもらうことも出来ます。カツオの切り身が分厚くて生臭くなくてスーパーで食べるものとは大違いです。

四万十市から、高知にレンタカーで戻る時にお昼を食べに道の駅に立ち寄り、当然カツオのたたき定食をいただきました。 ポン酢で食べるのも良いけれど、あら塩を振りかけて食べる、カツオのたたきの味を、高知に来て初めて知りました。塩で食べる、カツオのたたきは、本当に美味い！
