Yum-Yum is by far my favorite Japanese restaurant in the Mikawa area. The chef, Masa, is an amazing chef and person. He has experience at fine restaurants in Kyoto and Tokyo, and, interestingly, he once opened the very first Kosher/Japanese restaurant in New York city. Yum-Yum's menu is limited because Masa uses only the freshest, seasonal ingredients. How fresh? He sources his fish from his brother who is a local fisherman. Call ahead to make a reservation. Masa speaks English. His wife, Sachiko tries! They are awesome people and will make you feel welcome. They can also adjust to food restrictions.
