Reviews on Japanese food in Kingston, Kingston Parish, Caribbean. Far from the north coast resort towns, Kingston is Jamaica at its most authentic, a sprawling city of contrasts spread between the east coast and the Blue Mountains. Kingston's diversity is reflected in its disparate neighborhoods, from the wealthy northern suburbs to the less affluent downtown. East Japanese is a relaxing place to dine. Warm friendly service. I had the Miso soup,Seaweed salad and barbeque beef roll. Every thing was delicious. The salad fresh, crisp and flavorful. The soup and rolls hit the spot too. Definitely worth a repeat visit

Majestic is such a nice place to go and have lunch or dinner, whether the occasion is for friends, family, a date or a celebration. It never disappoints. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is elegant and dazzling and the service is good. The location is a little out of the way but well worth it. I'd definitely recommend to anyone.

Although it is not my first time going to this restaurant, it has been one of my go to places for sushi. I only had the spicy tuna but it's wasn't bad. Granted I prefer the sushi from Sora, but the sushi here isn't too bad.

Just returned from Sora, where four of us chose to share appetizers and a roll (sushi) as we are not big eaters. It is actually four floors up, no elevator - why not? - and not easy to find on Phoenix Avenue. Look out for the illuminated steak house sign! Fairly good parking with overflow next door. The outoor patio is superb with views to each set of hills. Our waitresses Danielle and Bianca were very attentive, and Danielle made us feel very comfortable and well informed. The eight pieces of sushi roll were tasty and the crab sticks very good. We also sampled the Japanese fried chicken, very like regular fried chicken, the pork - too fatty - and the beef, small portion. The wine was very reasonable, such a pleasure these days, and the vodkas had lime on the side which we enjoyed. The music was very pleasant and the level just right. Will return again as the service was so very good.
