Me and my husband came here for lunch. Their pizza,salads and latte coffees were pretty good. Service was good as well. They brought all of the food very quick.

Mona Cafe is a relatively new player in the restaurant field in Khabarovsk. It is a simple yet modern place, with good music and relaxed atmosphere (probably one of the best in Khabarovsk in that sense). Decorations are plain, with wood and leather and a touch of green, and some B/W pictures. A sober style, pleasant, very clean and with very polite and attentive service. I have come three times and results and service are consistent. The menu has been very carefully selected and contains a quite reasonable number of dishes. I absolutely disagree with one of the comments below which says that the menu is short. That is if compared to the tremendous list of items an average vulgar restaurant serves in Russia (over 100), where normally most of the dishes are poorly prepared and many times even not available. I'm sorry, but a restaurant must have a well selected list of dishes all properly cooked.Having said that, I would like to stress also a point mentioned by another reviewer (5Viktori5): the Caesar salad you ordered was probably fine, as minced anchovies are one of the ingredients of the Caesar salad sauce!! Reject a Caesar salad because of that is ridiculous. It is like rejecting a borsch because of having beetroot!Anyway, to the point. Food is good. It is not the best in Khabarovsk, though. The cuisine tends to be modern Russian, that is, some classic Russian dishes with some original touches or differential dishes. Absolutely fine choice. Maybe a bit obsessed with pumpkin... And of course, there is a small selection of sushi, sashimi, etc. as those a very popular in Khabarovsk. I have tried several things (octopus, tartars, soups, pasta, meat, fish, desserts) and I can state that some of the dishes are extraordinary, but others are not to the level. For example, the fried octopus was tough; it needs to be thoroughly boiled out prior to be fried. I would particularly recommend here both tartars in the menu (tuna and salmon) and the deer "katleta" (Russian hamburger), all quite good choices. The barramundi was fine, too. The two dishes I tried made with pumpkin (ravioli and soup) were a step below where they should have been (for instance, the ravioli pasta was a bit raw). As dessert, the tiramisu is a great option, but the size is a bit smaller than it must be.Its location in the main street (Muravyov-Amursky) should be a great plus for this restaurant to grow, but all the times I have eaten here, there was not many people (probably because many locals still want old style badly cooked menus?). However, being in essence in the heart of the city does not guarantee success, as it is located between the new two giant restaurants in fashion: VDrova and Sultan Bazar (both from the owner of the also nearby Harley), all three playing the card of the exoticism in the decoration and good food. Mona Cafe opted for the elegance.Prices are quite expensive at Mona Cafe. As one reviewer said it is quite common to end up with a 1400-1500 RUB bill per person. This is some 10% above Chocolate and same price as a reasonable food in Sultan Bazar could be (and that is full most of the times). The style of the restaurant reminds probably to the Amur Restaurant, though food there is better in my opinion (and also more expensive, 2000-2500 RUB). Service is likewise good in both. And for instance octopus is much better in Amur.So, would I recommend it? Well, yes. It is pretty good, but the cook needs a small step forward to make it great. Keep working!

I ate dinner last night breakfast this morning lunch this afternoon (pizza good) and finally prawn tempura and Canada and dragon roll for dinner. The dinner was the best. Hint....if you like a new drink order when your glass is half empty. It takes a long time. Also for breakfast order cappuccino. Instant coffee does not belong here. Bar stools are very low. I am 192cm and found it awkward to eat at bar.

Well, this place was certainly a surprise. Drawn by the many five star ratings from locals and the name, we sought it out for lunch and a beer yesterday, but no beer was to be had. It is a curious place, with huge patronage from what may have been a nearby university, as most of the many clients were very young and some were still wearing labcoats. There are two sections: the first you pass from the Main Street stairs is decorated in Chinese style. The fridge is stacked with soft drinks and there are some pretty cakes on display. Keep going through (with the crowd) and you come to a canteen where you pick what you want onto a tray and pay for everything including a glass of water with a slice of lemon if you fancy at the end. For two of us, the total was 360 roubles. Music blasted on a sound system appealing to the key demographic. All waitresses wore a uniform that had a recognisable connection to German wench image. Space was cavernous like a beer hall but furnishing and mood nothing like it. Worth checking out for a cheap, quick cafe meal, but don't expect any beer at the Beerfest.

We would go to Echo every weekend with family.It's best place in Khabarovsk to go eating with the child. They have right kids room with attendant. Food is always good.
