This place was a real find amongst a lot of pretty mediocre looking places. We had lunch there and would have been happy to have dinner as well. It is in the area where the wooden houses are being recreated near the new shopping mall. The menu choice was extensive, food interesting and delicious, service great and English-speaking, and the ambience nice.

Not a disappointing place to grab some sushi before heading to Lake Baikal. I tried several rolls and they were all good. The service was fine and almost frinedly (for russian standards).

Excellent Service is creating a very nice atmosphere. Had a great starter: smoked Omul with potatoes, highly recommended! Followed by a tasty Fillet Mignon - perfectly prepared. Quality is great, yet the difference makes the service - friendly, joyful, confident, fast and helpful! Thank you for a great evening....

«Kyoto» is a piece of Japan in Eastern Siberia. The small cosy hall will transport you from the whirlpool of immemorial vanity to the world of the most ancient Japanese traditions, where refined east style reigns. The interior is modesty and reflects the
This restaurant was inside the hotel we were staying in Irkutsk (Sayen Hotel) and though we had other plans for dinner, when I saw the flyer of kamchatkan king crab in the room, we changed our minds and had dinner there. In fact, they did not have the crab in their stocks that day but as we informed them early enough, they provided it by the time we had dinner. We really liked this place. Its decoration is obviously very Japanese influenced, the staff is very helpfull and professional, the overall ambiance is very chic. We had the crab of course (almost 2 kg), some sushi and a scallop dish. All were very very delicious, though the crab got really cold by the time we could finish it. This is an expensive restaurant but it worths the experience. Thanks for your feedback! We are glad that you appreciated our restaurant. We will be glad to see you again!

Korean Panasian restaurant. Located right in the city center at crossroads Marks and Lenin streets. Wonderfull taste and very affordable prices.
Location. Location. Location. Let's begin here with the fact that Kim-Chi is located very close to the intersection of Karl Marx St and Lenin St here in Irkutsk. Starting at the Southeast corner of the intersection, across from the Lenin Monument, you walk Northeast up Karl Marx Street away from Lenin Street. At the first street, Krasnoarmeyskaya ( Krasno Armey Skaya ), turn right and walk a short distance to Kim-Chi. It will be on your right.Kim-Chi is a small venue that has a very tasteful interior decor. The staff seemed to speak no English. The menu is a photo menu and that helps immensely. I opted for a bowl of Spicy Korean Noodles with Chicken. They were absolutely, positively, OUTSTANDING. And? They were just a tad on the pricey side of thlngs. 320 Russian Rubles (U.S. $5) for quite a small bowl of noodles. If you cross Lenin Street, walk down (Southwest) Karl Marx to Marata Street, turn right and up a block or so you will find another (quite a bit larger) Kim-Chi Cafe / Restaurant. I visited this other Kim-Chi on Marata Street after eating at this venue and it is now on my immediate To-Do List taking my wife with me this time.

Don't come here if you're looking for authentic sushi. We were hungry and desperate for halfway decent food after being on the train for three days, but the best I can say about the food here is that it was... not terrible. I guess if you don't have any expectations of what sushi is supposed to be like the food is decent enough. If you come from a place where sushi is common you are not going to be impressed with the food here. The staff were very nice though.
